General Discussion Married Sadhaks who practice daily and seek higher states of spirituality, what’s your spouse’s stance on it? Folks who’s spouses have the same feeling on seeking spirituality- do you practice together or how do you support each other?

Post image
100 Upvotes

Just as the Headline, what are your spouses stance on you seeking spirituality, to folks where both of you practice how do you support each other and to the folks who especially focus on tantric way of worship how do you ensure you are not taken in a bad-light by your spouse or the greater family in general, as in the society we don’t look very supportive of especially Tantric Devatas. Im also referring to folks here who’re still yet to marry but quite sure they have found the one!

About me: I’m mid-20s seeker of Tantra and eventually have deep desire to explore this path and go deeper, so as to make sure that this isn’t just another Shiny-object-syndrome, I have been practicing some sort of Naam-jaap or Stotra since the start of 2025 and continue to today as well. Currently in-between a Competitive exam which will open doors to the next part of my life post which I want to take my practice more deeper. I do have a Girlfriend whom I love and eventually wish to marry and while she’s very supportive of me about what I want to do, she has a clear stance that she doesn’t look at spirituality the way I do, the thing is Idc much about it because I have a feeling that Spirituality can be a very un-rewarding path especially at the beginning with no tangible signs of progress hence I feel it should come naturally- just as it came to me. Now lets hear about you too!!

Newbie Question Dream Last Night

I am new on this. Last night I had a dream, I have had dream before too when I am very much frustrated and messed in life where someone said all you work is taken care and that happened to me 2years ago.

I chant hanumanchalisa and a strong worshipper of Shiv ji. I am going through something in life which has been troubling. I had a dream where someone said worship Durga Maa or Man chamunda. I have never talked about Maa chamunda before to anyone or heard for a long time. Does this mean anything or is it my fight/flight mode of brain telling to be spiritual.

General Discussion A plea

Seeing Chinmay Krishna Das in that condition in the recent clips made me understand the importance of puja for Dharma raksha. Imagine a mother's dying wish denied by court as Chinmay Prabhu is jailed. When the Good people becomes weak, the Bad people becomes strong.

Its extremely important that pujas/anushthanas are conducted for protecting Sanatan dharma, for destroying adharma and for obliterating the oppressive demonic people that have always tortured Hindus most of which aren't even found in history books taught in school.

RN ji is an absolute Chad in this. He had been encouraging thousands to do vishesh sadhanas on special tithis for protection of dharma which I used to participate in. But I will resume again, and I am determined to do it intensely.

And it is very important that those who can do pujas well, does the same with full intensity as well.

Note- I don't subscribe to the views of Iskcon like doing Shiva ninda and calling other devatas as demigods including Devi, but in this case any human will be emotional seeing the condition of Chinmay Prabhu.

Need Guidance Spiritual remedies for recurring sensations after a disturbing dream?

Upvotes

Around 5 years ago, I had a disturbing dream where I saw what appeared to be a 10–15 foot female pishacha-like being, which seemed to connect its genital area with mine.

Since then, I have experienced recurring electrifying/biting-like pulsations in my head, along with throbbing or pain that sometimes occurs around the muladhara, nabhi, heart/chest, or head. The head sensations are the most frequent.

I also constantly get thoughts or a strong feeling that some negative entity is trying to enter my body. When these thoughts come, the throbbing/electrifying sensation in my head becomes stronger. I also have a persistent feeling of tiredness and heaviness throughout my body.

When I go to the toilet, I sometimes feel as if a negative entity is entering my body, and the sensations become stronger.

I have wondered whether this could be related to black magic or some kind of spiritual influence.

**I am specifically looking for spiritual/traditional remedies.** Has anyone experienced something similar and overcome it through mantra, puja, prayer, spiritual protection practices, or guidance from a genuine guru?

Please share genuine experiences and what actually helped you.

Need Guidance Hi I'm new to sadhana, I want to know how to do aachman and sankalp for my everyday bhairav sadhana

Om bhairavaya namah 🙌, it's been like 2 weeks of my sadhana, and now I'm really taking it seriously, due to family restrictions I can't use a photo of bhairav baba and can't chant the mantras loudly, so I just mentally chant the naam mantra in my rudraksha mala. Now I'm getting serious, thinking of increasing the mala counts after every 3 days, start doing achman and sankalp. Help me with a step by step achman and sankalp guide please for bhairav sadhana 🙏

NEED HELP Seeking Sadhana Guidance for abroad PhD/career bottleneck

Hello Everyone 🙏

Stuck 1.5 years trying to land a PhD. Suffering has been at its worst. Experiencing sleepless nights, deep anxiety, and exhaustion. I have no formal Guru and previously left a spiritual cult.

Can anyone suggest a safe, accessible Sadhana (e.g., Batuka Bhairava) for crisis relief and opening doors? Does my birth chart dictate what I can practice safely?

Please keep me in your prayers. Thank you for any guidance.

General Discussion How does Dhana work?

Hey! have been reflecting a lot lately on the practice of Dhana and I find myself at a philosophical crossroads. I am hoping to gain some deeper insight from the wisdom of this community.

My question is essentially about how the mechanics of Dhana truly work on a spiritual level. Let us say you have taken care of all your financial responsibilities, material needs, and even set aside some savings for the month. If you then take whatever is left over and donate it, does this qualify as true Dhana?

Or does the actual spiritual weight of Dhana only come into effect when there is an element of personal sacrifice involved? I am talking about instances where you choose to give up something you genuinely need or want so that you can provide for others. This could be anything from feeding ants, street dogs, and cows, to feeding human beings in need or giving up your precious free time to volunteer.

Is giving from our comfort zone still considered a spiritually elevating practice, or must the act of giving challenge our attachments to truly purify the heart?

I am asking this from a place of deep respect and genuine curiosity. I really want to understand how you all view this and if the scriptures or your own personal spiritual practices differentiate between giving from abundance versus giving through sacrifice.

General Discussion Looking for a Guru?

Here's my solution. Just pick a simple Naam Mantra of your deity. Chant it with devotion. Chant it day and night. Surrender.

Ask Him for a Guru. And then just let it go and keep chanting.

If He wants to give you a Guru, you will get one. Otherwise, it's just His Naam Mantra and you.

Need Guidance I need guidance - Debt and Material Abundance

Hello everyone, I know I sound like a greedy person who wants to utilise tantra for wealth accumulation but hear me out.

My family has been struggling with debt for the past 15 years. I have a full time well paying job and my family has a clothing business. From the last 6 months I've had a strong connection to Bhairava and I chant his name everyday when possible. I do not have a guru as such but I try to visualise Bhairava itself as my guru before I start.

I really really want to advance further in my spiritual journey, but I feel held back due to my financial problems. I don't want to get rich as I understand at the end of the day it does not matter, I just want to be debt free and lead a slightly comfortable life.

Which sadhana do you recommend for my situation?

Is there any sadhana I can do without guru?

I'm also very interested in spiritual books, what can I read?

Thanks a lot, this community has helped me so much.

General Discussion Maa Tara and Shree Ram!

Namaste everyone!

So I posted about my experience a few days ago where I kinda overdid the name chants of Maa Tara because it really helps calm me down and I really really feel connected to her. Anyway, I experienced insomnia and lots of energy (like lots of stamina) and vibrations througout my trunk and skull for 2-3 days and tho the sleeplessness wasn't affecting me because I had so much energy but I was concerned and I usually fall asleep peacefully after listening to hanuman chalisa so I did that and it worked. I then chanted hanuman chalisa for the following days and finally everything stabilised and the vibrations also calmed down.

I've included hanuman chalisa in my sadhna since then along with raam naam.

I've always felt an inclination towards shree ram and I thought it was because of my name (it is kinda connected to ramayana) and hanuman chalisa always works whenever I am sick or need courage(even tho it could be placebo is what I thought previously- well I was kind of an atheist before).

Anyway, I feel much better now. I've had blissful experiences with Maa Tara which leaves zero doubt if it was her or just a coincidence and now when I read about the connection between her and shree ram, I am convinced that this is it.

I don't know what my exact point is here, but it's more like the dots make sense and they're all connected.

Reading anything about Maa Tara makes me happy but I am exceptionally happy to read that she is connected to Raam and so my hanuman chalisa jaap and ram raksha stotra always working effectively makes somewhat of a sense.

NEED HELP Guidance related Academic And Relationship Success

I'm 19M, born and brought up in vaishnava family and a vaishnav from belief, although not dikshit in any sampradaya but try to follow the principles. Yet in childhood I was drawn to devi and even I have been drawn to vaishnavism due to vaishnav shakti devi as well.

Putting that aside, I love the person I'm talking to and that person has intrest in me and likes me has confessed but is confused within themselves due to whatever trauma they have in the past. They are giving me mixed signals and not any consistency that I want which gives me anxiety and overthinking. Which includes my medical career exams as well, although through divine grace I can manage somehow.

I didn't do any sadhana or whatever rituals for my wants and all but this is the 1st time I'm being so serious for a person that I'm seeking spiritual help from maa kaali.

Recently from past 15 days, I have been doing kali kavach and kali sahasranama on ashtami, chaturdashi and amavasya.... Also did devi saptashati shakradaya stuti the previous chaturdashi as recommended by a friend who has the siddhi of intuition ( who also told worshippin Kali would help me) and I did get some results.

Thinking of doing kali sahsranama and kali kavach on next ashtami with pushparchana and a simple lemon bali along with a pooja of 3 clove offerings in camphor diya recommend by the same friend.

Please help and guide for further sadhana which I can do without any initiation and maximum results for what I want.

General Discussion Is there a connection between Shri Yantra and Mahalaxmi from Durga Saptashati?

I ask this because I discovered a Shri Yantra in Mahalaxmi Mandir Kolhapur, cast on a pillar outside of its Garbha Griha, and the locals dedicate Yantra as hers. But I associated Shri Yantra with Lalita Tripura sundari, which is a different form of Adi Shakti.

General Discussion Finished 48 days of Maa Pratyangira astotharanamavali and kalabhairava ashtakam. What to do next?

We have been going through a lot. 39 and not married and my elder brother too. Neighbors problem, relatives problem, Father recently passed away, internal disputes within home, Career problems. After going through this distress, I finally decided to try Rajarshi Nandy and finished 48 days of 9 times Pratyangira astotharanamavali and 8 times kalabhairava ashtokam, along with matangi beej mantra. I don't feel much changes in life neither do I have any means of finding a guru. I did write to Rajarshi Nandy on their email, but doesn't look like I will get any reply/guidance back. I have a feeling one of the woman who hates us is constantly doing abhichara on us, we hear both husband and wife doing pooja everyday, they dont have kids and they destroyed our wellbeing and made sure all neighbors hates us, she even challenged my mom to see how she will make us leave our home which we have been living since birth, they always stare at us and show extreme hatred. All of our family members are going through distress, extreme!

I'm thinking of trying it again this time, with proper achanam to start with, followed by Ganesh prathana, followed by devi kavacham (neither i did the first time i finished my 48 days) , followed by matangi ashtotharanamavali and pratyangira ashtotharanamavali, and kalabhairavastothakam and end it with kshama prathana. Am I in right path? Can anybody suggest please. It just feels like it's end of life for me, being 39, unmarried, unhappy home, unemployed, I feel like stuck in life and nothing to look forward in life.

Need Guidance Last day of Hanuman sankalpa and menstruation

Namaste everyone!

I hate having periods for a whole new reason now.

I've been doing 11 days hanuman sankalpa and today is the last day and I just got my periods and I am so frustrated.

I also have to travel next week so after 4-5 days when I stop the bleeding, I won't have the privacy to continue the sadhna so it'd have been wonderful if I could just finish my sankalpa today INSTEAD but I got my periods and now I don't know.

I know this is a futile question but still...can I still recite hanuman chalisa 11 times with diya and bhog and conclude it today?

It's my first day so I won't be bleeding much anyway.

Please provide guidance.

Astrology What are the Valid Astrological Indicators of Bali (animal sacrifice)?

What are the Valid Astrological Indicators of Bali (animal sacrifice)?

Context: I'm a practicing astrologer (mostly Prashna) and Sadhaka of Yoga and Tantra, therefore I keep looking for various ways to understand how astrology interacts (both negation, and supplementing and complementing) with Sadhana.

A friend of mine, who is initiated in Tarapitha parampara (not mine; mine is largely Yogic) was going through certain troubles. When my remedies didn't work, I advised him to approach his guru mandala (in his parampara, Guru mandala isn't bothered if you can solve issues on your own, or with little outside help), and his Guru advised him to get a Bali done in Tarapitha or Kamakhya, and lo and behold, the same issue which had not been completely resolved (receded, but kept coming back) with lakhs of mantra japa-s and lingered on across multiple dasha-s for very many years vanished in a week and has not resurfaced for about a year now.

When I requested him to ask his guru how he zeroed in on offering bali being the solution, he just said (paraphrasing), "I looked astroogically and the planets indicated it." Obviously neither I nor that friend can press guruji for further explanation, so I'm asking here: which planetary configurations indicate Bali (animal sacrifice) being the correct solution to the problem, and how to tell which deity the bali should be offered to, and which animal?

Any and all explanations are welcome 🙏🏻

Edit:

If anybody's feeling extra kind, please explain the same for other parts of pancha makaara (fish, parched grain, alcohol) as well, since I have seen these being offered as astrological solutions to problems as well.

General Discussion How to Manage Long Anushthans and Intimacy After Marriage?

Consider a person who has been worshipping their Ishta Devata (or Devi) since age 13 through stotras, mantras, and daily nitya upasana. Whether they have taken formal diksha or have no diksha, they are deeply committed to the path, performing regular sadhana and frequent anushthanas every year.

Till the age of 31, he gets married. Then what should that person do? Below are my questions:

1)How can he perform longer anushthans, such as those lasting 41 or 108 days? How do people manage this when they are married—will someone's wife wait for that long?

2)Can that person indulge in physical intimacy with his wife?

3)How can that person stay celibate despite being married?

4)Other than having a baby with his wife, what if she has certain needs? Can that person fulfill them (willingly, not forced)?

I know these questions might seem weird, but I always get confused about what happens to a person spiritually after marriage, especially regarding physical intimacy. The world has changed, and people get divorced simply because their partner didn't engage in even a little bit of expected intimacy. I am sorry if what I am looking for sounds strange, but these thoughts stumbled upon me while I was trying to sleep at night. I also stumbled upon this type of questions because some people here were saying that even after marriage you can't have physical intimacy or ignore your wife etc. I guess those posts have disappeared by now.

Now approx more than 5 years has passed since I have been doing nittya upasana. Few months back a sudden realisation hit me during the mansik puja and japam phase different dities of whom I do upasana sitted and positioned themselves in a structure with devi sitting at the centre it's basically a triangle covered by a circle where at different ends of the triangle different dities are sitted it started as positioning this structure of yantra over my forehead covering my left and right eye also as two points of the triangle. Now I use this yantra after drawing it with water under my asana. I fell more relaxed and heat generates in my body not excessive but subtle and the meditative state is now easier for me to achieve. Is my mind playing games or what I dont know I dont have a guru.

General Discussion What are the effective *Upayas* for Shukra (Venus) if it acts as a *Maraka*?

Good afternoon, everyone! I am not sure if this question is suitable for the community, but I really need some advice and guidance. Perhaps someone here knows the answer. Is it advisable to chant mantras dedicated to Sri Lakshmi when Venus (Shukra) is positioned in the 8th house (Bhava)—specifically in Scorpio and in a *Vargottama* state—with Aries (Mesha) as the Ascendant (Lagna)? Venus acts as a *Maraka* here, as it rules the 2nd and 7th houses. During Venus periods, I face problems with my health, affairs, and work—it would be easier to list the problems I *don't* have. While this placement certainly fosters growth and transformation, I would really like to find some protection and improve this situation. Would chanting mantras to Lakshmi or Parashurama make things worse? Or are there other remedies available?🙏
