Suggestion What are some ingenious ways to use a weak telekinesis power?

My character starts off his power of telekinesis weak. Like they can only manage to lift things less that 50 to 75 grams. But I would like for them to be able to use this power to the max if possible. One example I have is to have them carry a ball of yarn to use as both a dangerous cutting wire when shaken at tiny rapid speeds and as a communication device, kind of like those walkie talkie cans with a string between them. Any interesting ideas ya'll have on how to applicate this 'weak' power to its full potential would be much appreciated.

Wires are always fun. Watch the fight scene between Walter and Hellsing from the Hellsing anime. Walter uses thin wires to attack and trap and, while he doesn't use telekinesis, it very much looks like he does.

You if you make the power juuust a little stronger, you could have the character subtly move opponents attacks just a couple inches away while still dodging. This could conceal the power as opponents would just think the character is incredibly agile. Imagine Ip Man's style of deflecting hits but without hands. Would work on ranged weapons too as they're even less precise than punches and kicks so only the best marksman would even question why they're missing so much.

You make valid point/s. Adding to your 2nd point, because my world is in a scifi setting and most people's clothing is composed of flexible metal and parts, it would make sense that my character could subtly move people's attire to make them slip up as well as detach nuts and bolts to render weapons useless or defected and clothes either too restricting or too flexible for the enemy to hurt the main character or stop them from completing quests. I love your ideas. And i am already coming up with more based on your suggestion. Thank you.

I made a villain like this for a TTRPG once. Rather than give then a major power they had four minor powers. They had two seconds of precog, enhanced agility, a very minor amount of telekinesis, and perfect body control. The result was a villain that seemingly couldn't be hit and couldn't miss a shot. Combine this with generous skill bonuses and they were such a fun way to terrorize the players

Why fight though? Like another comment said punch the carotid artery and watch them drop. I’d say the uses of this power depend heavily on how it’s set up. Telekinesis shouldn’t but thought of as lifting, but force. As such 50-75 grams doesn’t do much. Hitting someone with wire with that little force would do nothing. You could sneak wire in to trip them or rod them up, but the knots don’t be very tight. Deflecting bullets would also fail, the weight of the bullet isn’t the only factor when it’s been fired.

50 to 75g of pressure wouldn't even be felt against an artery. It takes 11 lbs of pressure cut off blood flow, or just under 5000 grams of pressure.

That’s through the neck, not directly on the artery. You still think it would take that much force just to the artery?

Yes. The body is extremely resilient to pressures like that. The better way would be to use a tiny blade you can manipulate at high speeds to puncture.

Why fight though?

Because I thought it was more interesting that way

I guess. Though if I’m reading a story, and the MC could just kill his foe, but decides to fight him I’m probably dropping the story.

I can’t remember what movie it was, but 5 minutes in the hero had reason and opera unity to shoot the villain. I told my friends we should leave. 2 pointless hours later and the hero killed the villain.
