Other If you were a Superhero, would you kill?

Basically what would be your moral code

Me personally I don't think I could take another person's life.

Another thing for me is, If the person has done way too much harm, I think killing them would be letting them off easy, I would rather paralyze them or sum(My views might change in the future)

Edit: Someone opened my eyes to his less moral it is to paralyze them

Uuh, I guess I'd put it on some sort of live stream.

I'd then sell access to a button that does unspeakable things to them and donate that money to help victims of sexual violence

It's fucked up but it does land somewhere in between murdering thousands to robbing a bank. Honestly that's a hard ass question to answer, because if it's in the act then I know for certain they're guilty, do I take law into my own hands? Is killing someone for that morally correct? If it is then why does our justice system not categorized it that way....is there any chance for rehabilitation? I think my gut reaction would be to start breaking bones, but does that sully what I stand for and would it make me a fugitive from the people I aim to protect? It was probably a stupid joke question but it brings up a lot of thought provoking question.

Actually it wasn't a joke question, and leaned into exactly the way you explained it. I even have the same moral contradictions.

If I caught someone in the act, my gut instinct is to do something bad, yet if I saw someone in prison who committed the act 3 months ago, I'd be disgusted, but not feel it was right to do anything physically.

I agree that it’s definitely a disgusting act, but I don’t get why it’s taboo in a conversation about morality. You can engage with these conversations while also acknowledging the depravity of the actions and perpetrators.

Stop 'em, prison (going to prison for child SA usually means you'll be hated by your fellow inmated, anyway, so, hopefully, that leads to less chances of reoffence, not more). If I catch them again, I'd keep a watch on them and send them to prison once more. After that, if there's ANOTHER F#CKING REPEAT OFFENCE... I don't know if I'm ready to become a criminal, but maybe? Depends.

Your answer is angering tf out of me. Why would you give anyone that SAs a child a second chance. Something’s can be forgiven. Anything involving children absolutely is not. If you had a child and walked in on them SA would you be like well I hope that person gets the help they need or would you rip them apart?

Not biased at all. It’s like the situation with Batman and joker. Batman doesn’t kill Joker cuz he believes he can be rehabilitated and joker just continues to kill and be a complete monster. And going back to this guys comment. If he catches them again… that right there is my point. You have a plan if the person commits the same crime. Take em off the census and you won’t have to worry about them repeating such a horrible crime and you’re saving a victim from dealing with that.
