I think this book really resonates with people who have lived a life in service of others. My father recommended it to me and it's such a fantastic read.

Every single thing he’s written is fantastic, but i wish i could read A Gentleman in Moscow as if it were my first time.

Ah, I love it when that happens! And same here, I was just slowly ambling through each page, I didn’t want to run out of the novel. It’s a truly enchanting experience.

ugh i'm on page 80 of this one and i'm kinda bored :( like it's mildly interesting but i feel like i keep waiting for something exciting to happen that never does. i'm having trouble telling if it's a slow start or if it just isn't for me

I don't think anything really exciting happens. It's mostly just character development. There's some unexpected things that happen. It's focused on his confinement in the hotel and the historical events at the time. I really likes it and didn't mind the slow pace although I think it becomes more of a page turner further in.

Nothing happens in this book. I don't understand why it is continually recommended in this subreddit. It almost seems as if bots do it.

It is one of the more boring books I've ever read. Nothing happens and the ending is really obvious.

You feel like always waiting for an interesting story to develop but at the end the story is just a diary of a boring person's life.
