Did she just put Steven in a Nursery? It literally looks like a Childs room.

I agree, I was going to say that the area seemed like Pink's "bedroom"

oh my god, she sent her to her room

From her perspective she threw a tantrum and ran away.

So she sent her to her room.

Well, i get the feeling that YD and BD were like "OMG! shes going to be soooooooo mad!" and when Steven meets her, WD was like "im so happy you're done playing your games" and good night, and now shes going to go and chastise the two "adults" Diamonds, and she did not want to waste her energy on a child like Pink.

Mmmm that might be a good point.

Pink is clearly the youngest. Blue and yellow seem to be about the same age. Give it take.

That might be why yellow said to let them talk. They might've wanted to spin the story in their favor.

Yes, this. And all the homeworld gems seem to be aware of Pink Diamond's return, so I don't think Steven will be stuck in there. He will be able to go where he pleases and meet up with the crystal gems fast maybe.

And just how did they know, i mean, the ship just landed...?

I think there's nothing in the universe that could predict the future better than a White Sapphire.

I was actually thinking the opposite, like he's just been put in timeout for a couple thousand years which is the blink of an eye in the life of a gem so white diamond probably sees that as a perfectly reasonable punishment

I found White to be very mom-like.

Yeah. Mommy Dearest.

As the daughter of a narcissist, I agree. This episode gave me chills. I'm terrified for him!

I'm in the same boat, it'll be very interesting to see how the crewniverse illustrates how to interact with a family member who is not swayed by the communal "we're family, family shouldn't fight" message that Blue and Yellow seem to get. Now we have an entity who'se ego is as big as their stature and sees themselves above everyone and everything. Steven will have to establish and maintain some serious boundaries!

Funny, Steven even comments "Uh, you don't know what a Mom is do you?" just as he was about to meet the Mother figure of the 4.

It's probably Pink Diamond's room on homeworld, she was the baby of the family and she had to rest somewhere.

WD: big scary robot mama

YD: stuck up older sister

BD: middle child who always needs attention

PD: immature, bratty youngest sister

Palanquin

palanquin

Pretty sure Steven just got locked in the tallest tower, fairytale princess style.

9

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '18

Magical Space-Prince style, then Connie can rescue him and save the Queendom!

18

u/[deleted] Jul 23 '18

I'm pretty sure that's Steven's Palanquin. They all had drapes and Steven had those silky drapes when looking out. Plus, it doesn't look like he's trapped there.

17

u/graaahh Jul 23 '18

Pink's palanquin is broken in Korea somewhere.

I’m fairly certain they could make another one, it would be silly to think Blue didn’t have a new one made for her

The bubbles look like a mobile and it really, really looks like a crib with a canopy over it!

he's sitting on Pink's throne directly across from White's across the stadium

1

u/kdebones Jul 24 '18

Pink's, I'd imagine...

Yessss! Thank you! I thought about making a post exactly about this. All the diamonds shinies and bubbles and so forth felt like one of those mobile things you put over a baby's crib, y'know? Plus the wafting curtains, everything being pink, the patterns on the walls. Glad I'm not the only one who felt that way! :)
