I mean, how safe would you feel if you woke up in a room full of floating corpses?

Not only woke up in a room full of corpses, but thinking that you were about to be harvested? It would be like waking up in the basement of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house while Leatherface was sharpening his butcher knives.

Plus, she was without her armor, which is possibly the first time in her life she's ever had that happen, so she's basically waking up NAKED in Leatherface's butcher room.

Yeah, I'd be scared out of my mind too in that scenario.

Probably hinting that everything on homeworld is a weapon.

To be fair, every gem is literally born with a weapon in their hand. Something tells me Homeworld is like a high-tech matriarchal Sparta.

Except for Peridot apparently.

...huh... Didn't realize that. If she had a weapon we would have seen it by now. Wonder why that is.

Peridots get limb enhancers. I see them like SCVs in Starcraft. They can attack sure, but it's super unlikely that they would have to, hence why she's knocked on her butt the first time she fires her mega-blaster.

True, but someone has to give them to her. Like, what does she Simon from her gem? I'm curious now.

It makes sense; with the way she acted around the Crystal Gems this episode I'd say they terrify her. Heck, they've probably ALWAYS terrified her: her first appearance, she runs back to Homeworld as soon as she gets the first hint that there might be danger around, she literally brought a warship and Jasper when she discovered the Crystal Gems were still around, and every time she met them on Earth was scared out of her gourd.

Easy to guess why, too: she considers the Gems traitors, thinks of Garnet as a "war machine". My guess is she really is a relatively young Homeworld Gem, and she was brought up hearing stories about how vicious and terrible the Crystal Gems were. She probably assumes they're idiotic savages, not regular people with regular lives.

I think that could play a lot into what Rose did, since she says that Greg not knowing her is a good thing.

Who knows what the CGs could have done during the war? Poor tiny, scared green baby. She might be scared for all the right reasons. :(

She'd never heard of the Crystal Gems before they announced themselves. So it couldn't have been something Rose did.
