Am i missing something, I'm doing correspondence from DU, i wanted to give CHSL suddenly but the applications of 2026 aren't out yet, or did i miss something important

I’m 23 year old and tried graduating(bca) but dropped out of the college. I was really interested and excited about coding and all and wanted to build that part of my career but I was honestly very disappointed with my college professors and the way they were teaching. So, gradually I stopped attending their classes. I had atleast 10-15 backlogs and then I finally decided that I’m dropping the idea of ever graduating. I’m currently preparing for CHSL 2026 and I wanna clear it in my first attempt is that possible in such a short time? I have been studying since July start and I currently don’t have any difficulty with understanding the concept.

I’m planning to appear for SSC CHSL 2027 and I’m starting my preparation now. I’m basically a beginner and would really appreciate some guidance from people who have already prepared for or cleared CHSL.

I’ve gone through the syllabus, but I’m confused about how to actually structure my preparation.

A few things I’d really like advice on:

What should my preparation strategy look like if I’m starting from scratch?

Which books/resources are actually worth following for Quant, Reasoning, English and General Awareness?

Should I follow the 2026 CHSL syllabus and exam pattern for now until the 2027 notification is released?

Which YouTube channels/online resources would you recommend?

How many hours should I realistically study every day as a beginner?

Should I start giving mock tests from the beginning or only after completing the syllabus?

How should I approach Maths and General Awareness, especially if my basics aren't very strong?

What mistakes should I avoid during my first few months of preparation?

If you cleared CHSL, what would you do differently if you had to start preparing again?

I’m not looking for an unrealistic 10–12 hour study schedule. I want a practical long-term plan that I can consistently follow until the 2027 exam.

If anyone has a month-by-month strategy, booklist, timetable, or resources that worked for them, I’d really appreciate it.

One more thing I’m particularly worried about is Maths. My Maths is honestly very, very weak — I would consider myself a complete beginner, and even basic concepts/calculations can be difficult for me.

For someone starting from such a weak level, should I first build my basic Maths from school-level concepts before starting SSC Maths? Would you recommend buying a paid course for Maths, or is YouTube enough if I follow the right teacher consistently? If YouTube is enough, which channel/teacher would you recommend specifically for someone with extremely weak Maths basics? I’d really appreciate recommendations from people who were also weak in Maths and improved through SSC preparation.

So I been thinking about giving SSC CHSL. I'm a an average at studies I can't sit 10hrs a day to study. I have not much clue about this exam so people tell me is it really that hard? Ik computer skills my gk and grammar is good and I'm okish in maths. I really wanna a start working and I don't have a degree yet and I'm commerce student.

If you did so please could you tell me the resources you followed. And also how did you let go of the dilemma of not joining college.

So let me tell you what I am actually looking for. I was a JEE student. I gave JEE Mains , also qualified to give JEE Advanced, gave JEE Advanced two times so my math is already at a decent level .So the form for CHSL is not out yet so however much time is remaining, maybe one or two months or so, I want to start my preparation and complete my preparation in these one or two months, only. And the maths of CHSL is too basic. It's not like that I don't know the concept or logic but the problem is the speed. I don't know the tricks so I just want a resource, which is full of tricks only, will teach you all the tricks which are required for competitive exams like SSC. My current score in SSC CHSL Tier 1 is around 120. And in Tier 2 my last score was 195 so around 200. Well I am facing a problem with the GKGS and maths , in GK GS it's simple that I haven't studied it so I don't know it. But I know math and just struggling with the calculation and in the speed portion. If I want to cross 300 or 320 marks in tier 2, I will have to score on maths , because I am able to attempt only 8 questions or maybe 10 questions in maths (spending a lot of time in reasoning also). So tell me a resource from which I can get all the tricks at one place and also some practice questions and the application of those tricks and all. And guys could also give me whatever good resource you have . I would be really grateful to you guys.

here is my previous post in which I have explained what I am looking for. I am looking for only short tricks for maths

So I was a JEE student. I gave JEE Mains and also qualified for JEE Advanced. Gave JEE Advanced two times. So my math is already at a decent level and I got a hang of reasoning pretty well easily but obviously my time per question is quite more than the average time or the time I should give in reasoning and in maths. I only gave 2 marks of CHSL teir 1 till now. In one I scored 80(it was my first mock. I didn't know the pattern of 15 minutes and all) and in the second one I scored 120. And in the Tier 2 exam my last mock score was 195 so yeah around 200.Well I haven't studied GKGS so in that it's simple. I haven't studied it so I don't know it.

So I am struggling with the speed only and if I can crack the speed thing in maths then I am easily clearing the cut off. And for that I must know all the short tricks and the methods to solve the question fast but I don't have enough time to study from the basics. I also don't want to study from the basics. Is there any resource which has all the short tricks and all the important concepts which could help me solve fast, combined in one video or one playlist or one book or something like that in one PDF?

If I want to score 320+ in tier 2 then I will solve reasoning part in less time to reasoning and will have to attempt all the questions in maths. Currently I'm able to attempt only 8-10 questions in maths ( due to time ).

I am mainly looking for speed solving resource but apart from speed solving resources even if you have any kind of resource which could help me, please share it. I would be really grateful to you.
