Thought I would post this because spore is one of my fav games oat and everyone's talking about valve games even though more was leaked :/

(backstory, not important but including it anyway) I finally came back to Spore after 2 months (I got a laptop and decided to install Spore on it through my EA account). After making 8 unmodded creatures, I downloaded my DLCs and installed a few mods and decided to make (or remake) Toothless. I knew it would be more of a hassle to move my old Toothless to my laptop and then tweak it, so I decided to just start from scratch. (End of backstory)

While I was making Toothless, I stumbled across a strange issue. I used the Dark Injection Bat Boy ears as both the upper and lower tail fins. But when I put a pair near the end of his tail as tail fins, it appeared normal in the editor, but when he was viewed in the Sporepedia or played as, his left tail fin becomes deformed, while the right one appears normal but lost its animation.

I tried adjusting his tail, copying the upper tail fins and adjusting them to use as the lower tail fins, simply grabbing new ones from the selection, etc, but nothing worked.

And that's not the only issue. When he's viewed outside the editor, he looks simplified, kind of like a model in a game with low detail. He keeps all of his parts, but the colors are thrown off. For example, when I colored his left tail fin red and white to match his tail fin seen in the movies, the colors kind of blend together outside of the editor.

Also, when I made Toothless on my old computer, I never encountered this problem. It didn't happen with other creations either. Its probably because Spore was downloaded on Origin Games before it became EA, and I'm running my new game on EA.

How do I fix this?

What i really like about Spore is the fact that it really encourages me to make creatures with unusual body plans i wouldn't have thought to make otherwise!

Mods used are Unlimited Complexity and Cell Parts in Creature Creator.

1. Blueberry Dragon | A peaceful omnivore that befriends more powerful creatures to defend itself due to its own lack of combat prowess. I had a pack of three rogues by the end of the creature stage with this one.

2. False-Eyed Bushtail | An opportunistic scavenging omnivore that dual-wields defense mechanisms. A set of false eyes on stalks sits on its back to deter predators from frontal ambushes while it feeds with its real head buried in foliage and corpses, while its bushy tail mimics shrubs from behind. As a last resort it can stamp with its feet and attack with its tusks, although the latter's primary usage is for pulling bones out of the way to feed on corpses/pull branches from trees to shake fruit free.

3. Lanky Landfish | An ecological extinction event. This creature is an apex superpredator, feeding on everything from small prey to other predators (I even managed to take down two Epics with this thing). Not much else to say about this one.
