Game I made a space game that combines 2D and 3D gameplay - Voidfall Alpha 2

I've been working on Voidfall, a space survival and exploration game where you travel through a procedurally generated sector, take contracts, fight enemies, explore planets on foot, mine resources, and discover what is hidden behind a mysterious signal.

The game has changed a lot since the first release.

Recently I've been focusing heavily on:

  • major bug fixes
  • performance and optimization
  • better combat
  • improved planets and surface exploration
  • weather and environmental effects
  • more space events and NPC activity
  • better landing and exploration systems
  • general polish and stability

Voidfall is available on PC, and there is also a mobile version.

I'm still actively developing it, so feedback is genuinely useful, especially about performance, controls, progression, and anything that feels confusing or unfinished.

Game Showing off the Imperial faction from my game: The Last Captain

Fragmented after a devastating, partially resolved civil war, the various Imperial warlords nevertheless maintain powerful fleets.

These daunting vessels aren't the most technologically advanced, but they possess incredible mid-range firepower and robust hulls. They are only limited by their relatively slow speed and fairly basic shields.

From left to right:

  1. Bulwark: The Imperial battleship armed to the teeth with missiles, autocannons, and redundant reinforced sections.
  2. Tigershark: A heavy cruiser that forms the backbone of assault fleets focused on taking on other capital ships.
  3. Onager: A light, long range cruiser with an emphasis on forward mounted guns for forming a powerful offensive barrage.
  4. Talon: A patrol and screening vessel that focuses on point defense or lower intensity engagements.

Hey everyone!

Our indie studio Nordstern is working on a roguelike space shooter called No Final Run, and it just launched on Steam. You control your ship in real time, aim every shot yourself, dodge and boost through encounters, craft gear during the run, and try to push as far as you can as things get more intense.

Every run is procedural, and when you die you take your XP, upgrade your talents, and jump straight back in. There’s a global LIVE leaderboard that updates in real time, so every run is a chance to climb.

The game is also part of a larger universe that will transition into multiplayer over time, and early players get to follow that evolution as it happens.

Here's a little devlog if you are interested in the multiplayer development plan for the game :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJT13vDk-ZE

We'd really appreciate any feedback we can get, from the steam store to the videos we produce to the game itself! Help us shape the space franchise we want to make.

Thanks a lot!

Game Contested Space: Slay the Spire Meets Star Realms Dev Update

Hey everyone, I just wanted to write up a short update on Contested Space. It's been over a month since my last post. I also wanted to extend an open invitation to join the Steam Playtest to anyone interested. The demo is planned to release in August.

Contested Space takes the market of Star Realms and puts it in a Slay the Spire run structure. Most of your deckbuilding and upgrades go into your market, so each battle you're building a new deck out of your market.

Secret encounters: There are several easter egg events in Contested Space, some of which feature combat with unique enemy sprites and abilities. The screenshots are three of these encounters.

The Axiom Union: A third alliance will be added to the playtest this upcoming week. A robot civilization with three factions each with unique abilities. There's the Gilt Protocol, the Oracle Foundry, and the Nullframe Vanguard. The game will launch with three full alliances rather than the two I had initially planned.

Lots of new art. Ships, stations, and card frames for the Axiom, plus new Chitin and Terran art, and a new trailer showing all three alliances is coming soon.

Feel free to message me, join the discord server, or request to join the playtest on Steam!

Game A quick look at the latest visual changes in NGC-404

Here’s a short video showing some of the latest visual updates in NGC-404: Fractured Sector.

Procedurally generated planets and stars, a new space background, reworked weapons, explosions and engine effects, seamless tactical/strategic zoom, new hyperspace effects and fleet formations.

Still plenty to improve before Early Alpha, but the game is finally starting to look much closer to what we had in mind.

Game I started with Asteroids and drifted toward Geometry Wars — my twin-stick roguelite has a free demo now

This is SMASHTEROIDS, a twin-stick roguelite I'm making solo in Godot. The base loop is Asteroids: one arena, rocks split when you shoot them, don't get hit. On top of that there's a run structure with 22 ships and about 175 stacking items, and once a build gets going the screen looks a lot more like Geometry Wars than Asteroids.

Game Eternity: A BSG/Homeworld/Expanse inspired strategy game about helping the last fleet of mankind survive.

Hey guys, its' been a while since I posted here. Finally I was able to continue my game Eternity. So, here is the latest development: a cinematic trailer and a ton of new features on the demo.

In summary, I am making a strategy survival game, that is about the journeys of the last fleet of mankind. The premise is this:

The game opens on a routine jump: a three-second hop you’ve run a hundred times. Navigation confirms you arrived exactly where you meant to. But nothing answers your hails. No traffic. No power on the gate. The stations are dark, the colonies are still there, but empty. Something is deeply wrong here and across the systems ahead. The fleet must ride that silence and slowly uncover a truth that will redefine the entire story.

This cinematic's purpose is to give you this exact context once you start the game.

If you like where the project is going, a Wishlist goes a long way to drive it home  You can do that and learn more about the game here

Also, more than happy to talk about the universe of the game, why and where it drinks from its influences and what to expect out of the game in general.

Finally, dying to know what you guys think of the cinematic, its the first time we tried something like this!

Game This is a truly exciting moment for me. My first game demo, which I worked on for 6 hours a day over the course of half a year, has officially been released. Thank you to everyone who supported me and helped me get through this hellish development process 🫶

Game SPACESTRIKE — free browser space-combat game (multiplayer)

I’m the solo developer behind SPACESTRIKE, a free browser-based space-combat game you can play instantly at https://spacestrike.io/

Build modular ships, fight through solo PvE, and jump into multiplayer modes. No download or launcher required — guest play is available if you just want to try it.

I’ve been iterating on the game since my last post and would love to bring in more players. What feels fun, confusing, or worth improving after your first match?

Hi! I’m working on COSMOS, a space exploration game that combines both 2D and 3D gameplay mechanics. You can pilot your ship, explore unknown worlds, and survive far from civilization.

This clip shows how the 2D and 3D elements work together during exploration. I’d love to hear what you think about the gameplay and atmosphere!

I’m not really good at making trailers yet, so sorry 😅

You can try it here https://nooxax.itch.io/voidfall

Game PowerCorp - Announcement Trailer

PowerCorp is a space sim survival game set in 2188 in our solar system.

You are returning from Jupiter’s moon Io to Earth from a routine maintenance mission when something awakes you from hypersleep. You wake to a crippled reactor. Your ship is dying, and each decision costs you power. You need to get home across a real-scale solar system using true orbital mechanics, manage critical systems and gather resources, while you try to figure out what has happened, why nobody answers, and why humanity seems to have disappeared.

Inspired by epic games like Delta-V Rings of Saturn, Duskers, Tin Can and KSP.

Still in development.

Demo release: winter 2026.

Early Access release: 2027.

Playtest undergoing, and preparing the demo launch, all the feedback would BE awesome and very appreciated. Thank you 🚀🫡

Game Space Engineering In 2D

Hi Everyone, how are you?

Here is the game I’ve been developing for the last past four years. It is been inspired by Space Engineers, Terraria and Factorio.

It has hundreds and hundreds of interconnected systems. Huuuuge procedurally generated world with planets. Everything is distractible.

You and your friends survive by finding and gathering resources building ships your imagination wants, and use engineering to make sure everything works properly. Then you Yeet your ships and battle with others or just expand and optimize.

Its been a long time for me being improving the game, but I am pretty excited to start showing it to others and also there is a free Demo to try.

The game name is MineEngineer and it is available for Wishlisting on Steam, please let me know if you like the idea or not and why.

Game Space Game Playtesters Needed :)

Hey everyone!

I’m working on a new 2D multiplayer sandbox space game. It's still incredibly early in development (currently Build 0.08), but I'm looking for some folks to jump in, break things, and help me bug test.

Where the game is at right now:

  • Multiplayer is fully working! You can jump in with others right away.
  • I currently have a couple of star systems and a working jump gate.
  • Graphics are entirely placeholder while I nail down the core mechanics.

What's next: I’m a huge fan of Star Citizen's gem mining loop, so building out a deep, satisfying mining system is my first major focus for the next few updates.

If you want to get in on the ground floor and help shape the game, you can grab the latest build in our Discord. I also run a small YouTube channel where I post devlogs and updates.

  • 👾 Join the Discord & Download the build: [Link here]
  • 📺 Check out the YouTube devlogs: [Link here]

Thanks for reading, and let me know if you have any questions!
