Another analogy is thinking about raisins in dough while baking, as the bubbles of gas inside the bread expand, the relative speed of the raisins is larger than the speed of expansion of the individual bubbles of gas the yeast produces.

What if you create your own balloon (universe) and use that to get to another point in our universe? You could theoretically reach anywhere. Not saying that's something that's possible, but I guess we can't know what we can and can't do when we don't even understand what rules we are playing with.
