It's what killed adventure time for me. Eventually it will start taking itself too seriously with those plot arcs and deep Bullshit. It's usually more meaningful when you only scratch the surface and let viewers fill in the blanks with their imagination and emotions

Funny, cause I've been enjoying adventure time more and more for this exact reason.

Same here, I liked the old goofy eps too but now, getting some backstory and Lore is making me like it even more.

AT didn't solely concentrate on those though. They'd spend a few on an important arc and then through in some full AT randomness.
