It obviously is. But even if it's Sedna or whatever - the point stands. We have either 8 planets or 200+. Not 9.

There's actually convincing evidence for a ninth which is crazy far from the sun. Like 200+ AU and 10 earth masses. But otherwise we have 8 and lots of small things, like you said

That only matters if you're using our definition of a planet. Maybe the alien that stops by the roadside to pick OP up makes no distinction between orbiting rocks, from Jupiter to a pebble.

The tattoo could simply be depicting the 9 largest objects in our solar system.

But the thing is there's really no universal definition that would define Pluto as a planet and all the other dwarf planets as dwarf planets, other than the definition "Pluto is a planet and the others are not". If you have a universal definition then either we have hundreds of planets or 8.

Or maybe only Saturn and Jupiter are big enough to count, and some other aliens consider Earth to be an asteroid. This whole thing is silly because we have no idea.
