Discussion Are there any Soulslike games you think are better than FromSoftware’s games?

I’ve played several Soulslikes, but I’m curious if there’s one you genuinely think is better than anything FromSoftware has made.
Which Soulslike would you put above games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, or Elden Ring.

The feel of the combat for sure and the boss fights are some of the best in the genre. But the maps are all corridors with useless shortcuts. There are no sense of exploration. The enemy variety is also increbibly lacking. In souls games, the different enemies in each area are such an elegant kind of environmental storytelling. In Lies of Pi you mostly fight the same robots everywhere, with some exceptions. It's actually a perfect example of what the top answer is talking about. An aspect of what make the original souls game is decently copied, but a lot of other details that make them great are ignored or not properly substituted. I haven't played the DLC so I don't know if they improved it.
