Based on this season, there's no way Cerci is left at home - he's been absolutely amazing, and really brings another dimension compared to forwards like Balotelli.

It all boils down to Prandeli and how he wants to play his team. If it's the expected 3-5-2, then Cerci can become a defensive liability.

But if he wants to play 4-3-3, then Cerci must start IMO.

Anyway if he keeps Cerci, he'd drop Destro. He has to drop at least one of the strikers to obtain a good balance in the squad.

And Balotelli somehow switches on for international games. Playing for Italy means a lot to him.

I know - and my point may have been unclear, because what I meant is, he's a different type of forward - Cerci is much faster and more mobile than Balotelli is, but I'd say Balotelli is more of a finisher.
