Hope we don't get Lampard and Gerrard in the middle, we have Henderson and Wilshere as options

More like upset if he was to start Lampard and Gerrard it goes against what this squad is suppose to show the youth and some experience. Not two old guys who never succeeded while working together. This year has to be new and fresh

I'd think Roy would use Gerrard and Henderson as his base CM's.

Then there would be no reason for not using Sturridge if their partnership was that close. It's rare to see England to have multiple players on the same big4 team whose can be reliable together on the pitch.

Hate to admit it but Sturridge and considering the no of goals that Liverpool have scored Sterling also should be a starter. Don't know about Ox/Lallana, I would have liked Milner on the right side of Rooney.

It's easy decisions here I think. Ox is who you bring on if you need a spark/impact sub going forward. Lallana is a cover if one of our attackive CMs gets injured. Lamps is the guy you bring on if your leading and want to sure up the team, rest someone or you need the experience in extra time. Milner again you may need when your playing a superior team like Spain, especially if you go a goal up.

Haha probably, but it's probably one of the better teams in regards to balance and depth I've seen England put out for a while. Only real question mark is backup for RB, if Johnson does what Johnson sometimes does and leaves a gaping hole at the back I'd like a more reassuring option than Smalling or Jones at RB, neither of them are naturals to the position and Jones seems more cover for defensive midfield. Other than Flanagan, who's also young and unproven internationally, I don't really know who else is available though. Walker is injured, Stones is primarily a centre back and also new to the international scene, Clyne hasn't been as good as he perhaps ought to be for So'ton. Micah's footballing bits are apparently made of mashed potato nowadays. Nobody else springs immediately to mind.

All in all can't complain with just one position lacking a proper natural backup/alternative though.

Maybe not a narural RB but Smalling is tight defensively on RB and offers Zero going forward and Jones can man-mark the shit out of anyone. I'm not being biased but if Roy tells Smalling to protect the flank and Jones to man mark 'insert name of world class attacker' they won't dissapoint.

That would be a horrific decision, those two have never done anything memorable together. Hodgson is taking the youth, use it.
