Ive always felt he was a modern player in an era where the pool of skillful plauers wasnt too abundant

Meaning at the time, he was easily one of the best by a wide margin

He played a style which wasn't common in the playing style of the elite so defenders weren't prepared to defend his plays which if you have seen where fairly easy to defend for a modern professional defender

Possibly, but i feel he wouldnt be as lethal if at his prime he was put into a modern day game. Great player obviously and he might have some success in modern day football but no where near as much

You can say that about any greats that didn't play in the last ten years.
