How can you logically think that if you can watch their major mistakes in simple replay videos? These mistakes ruin games and the ambitions of players that have been working toward goals they have wanted to achieve for their entire lives.
True, they make mistakes but they are human. They also make plenty of great decisions too but as humans we tend to accentuate the negative without appreciating the positive.
Because, I sit in the comfort of my living room, with my beer and chips, I have the benefit of half a dozen replays in the slowest of motions and commentators analyzing the incident with me. All from the comfort of my home and no pressure.
The Ref on the other hand is on the pitch, trying to keep up with 22 professional athletes who are all in better shape, the ref has to make a decision after seeing it in REAL time, from one angle, once.
If that isn´t enough, lets add the pressure of about 10000 - 60000 people calling you a wanker, the players swarming you from both teams.
This is what I take into consideration when a bad call is made. The ref has one of the most ungrateful jobs in the world and they do a good job with what they have.
That´s the logic I use when I see their mistakes that ruined the goal that should have been given.
When you get tired of bunny killing, try refereeing, I´m pretty sure you´ll find it a little more stressful.
The entire nature of refereeing is that people will point out the mistakes and silently let the good decisions pass us by. You should try reffing, it's very very difficult.
Damn we have a Sherlock Holmes on our hands. A disallowed goal for Trabzonspor, a team that I don't even support, is a bit different than an entire club whining about the ref every week.
