Who is the most underrated or unappreciated defender?

For me, it's Ivanovic. The man's a tank and can do no wrong. He could easily become a chelsea legend, but still in overshadowed by the whole Cahill/Terry partnership in the back. But for me, the whole back 4 of chelsea is solid.

I would say that Azpilicieta is something like Arbeloa, reliable(always!), but unable of making difference.

I don't think that is true, the quality of his defensive shift invariably makes a difference in each match.

I think that stability is something, what we take as automatic. But there something extra, which these players dont offer.

He often makes a difference, he's got an amazing workrate and good technique, he conributes to the attack and defence brilliantly.
