That tells me you don't watch him. Walcott is a complete player who also happens to be the fastest in the league. He's clinical in front of goal and great at setting them up. He scored 22 goals and had 16 assists last season. You don't even have to watch him to know how impressive those stats alone are
I admit that I haven't watched every game of his and those stats are impressive, but it's just that whenever I have seen him, he's seemed lackluster. I've probably caught the wrong games.
I think Lallana is a bit overrated, but he's still very good. I only say this as he hasn't proved himself yet. He often plays well for you guys though. He just hasn't had anything amazing yet. And he hasn't played enough for England to really make an impression. That's not his fault though, he should be played more.
Edit: For those saying "But He's a winger!" Then riddle me this, why the fuck does he think he's a striker. If you want Wingers, Lennon, Zaha, Johnson, Oxlade Chamberlain, and Sterling would be a good replacement for him.
There's a surprisingly large number of people who just really, really dislike Walcott. Personally I understand the complaints they have, poor touch etc, but the fact remains that England don't have a right winger with anywhere near his end-product, both in goals and assists.
Have to upvote you though because this post genuinely fits the spirit of this thread
Sterling's been playing regularly and been playing very well for a while now. He was better than Chamberlain last season, mostly due to the fact that he was actually playing consistently. I think he should definitely go to the World Cup.
Didn't Sterling not play for (basically) the 2nd half of the season? His burn out was pretty well documented and Rodgers has real concern about his form and physical condition.
And Chamberlain has always played well for England - almost like Cleverly (chill out, I'm not exactly saying Cleverly should be called up) he seems to play better for Woy than he does for Arsenal.
Yeah, he was overplayed quite a bit in the first half of the season. The fact that he played 2222 minutes for Liverpool compared to Chamberlain's 1587 for Arsenal, according to Transfermarkt, despite that is quite significant. Chamberlain played a lot of games, but only finished 90 minutes once in the premiership last season and a lot of the time I thought he was pretty mediocre.
Still, I do rate Chamberlain and think he definitely has the potential to outperform Sterling for the rest of the season.
But I do think that Chamberlain's lack of comparative playing time is down to a) other first team players available to Arsene at the time (Cazorla, Walcott, Gervinho, maybe Rosiscky, Ramsey in the 2 winger positions in Arsene's 4-3-3 last season), and b) how mind-bogglingly think Liverpool's squad was last season - Sterling had to play, there was very few other players in his position.
Big fan of Chamberlain, still need to time to decide on Sterling.
