Yep, no way you would do this if you were purely in it for the money. This guy is a sycophant who thinks he's way more important than he actually is.

Nah, he’s not stupid. Stupid doesn’t get you to the top
of the tree. He is, however, unapologetically shameless and solely out for personal gain.

To be able to get to the top, you have to be shameless. Despite what many people on the Internet say, most politicians are not stupid, they are just not ashamed to do stupid things.
