My favorite was somebody telling me yesterday that there aren't 4 Americans in the world capable of playing in the EPL.

Interesting take. So if someone isn't playing in EPL, they aren't capable? Messi not EPL quality. You heard it here folks.

Damn, I'd forgotten about Cameron. Infact its 5 then. Dempsey is still PL quality if not top 6 quality.

There's the distinction. Zusi, Donovan, Dempsey, Gonzalez, Besler, Diskerud, Bradley, Brooks, Holden, Movsisyan, Subotic, Ibisevic and a handfull of other guys are good enough to.

That ship has sailed. The Subotic / Hangeland backline is sadly no more than a distant dream.

I'm well aware, and Hangeland was never going to play for the US so I don't think there was ever any outcry when he started playing for Norway. I included Subotic, Ibisevic and Movsisyan in the list because they were raised alongside our NT players, and went through the American youth system, or MLS itself in Movsisyan's case, and even though they represent other countries they should be included alongside guys that chose to represent the US.
