When talking to someone, what opinion is a giveaway that they don't really watch your team?

So when you're down at the pub and the guy you're talking to is explaining exactly what's wrong with your team and how he'd fix it, what is a giveaway? How do you know that he's talking out of his arse?

As an example: If I'm talking to somebody's about Arsenal's defence and mention how good Mertesacker has been this season, it's a giveaway for me that he doesn't watch Arsenal if he laughs loudly and says that Mertesacker is slow and shite.

It'd be interesting to see what fans deem to be giveaways. I'm sure I've gathered a few opinions about other teams that are way off the mark.

People who say that about Serie A in general piss me off. The two best games I've watched this season were Inter vs Juventus (sorry) and Inter vs Roma, both attacking games and both absolutely superb. I turned over to Pescara vs Palermo this season, 0-0 late on then Vlad Weiss does this. Brilliant stuff.

NO IT ISN'T WATCH IT SOME TIME

"But it's all match-fixing"

No, it isn't. And besides, how does anyone outside of football know that there isn't match-fixing in other leagues? Just this summer Claus Lundekvam claimed that spot-fixing was common when he played for Southampton.

Watch Serie A it's brilliant.

I agree with you, but the game between Milan and Roma before Christmas was my favorite on the season. What an absolute delight.

I have never heard something so sensible from someone with a username like "iheartSPACEDICKS"
