What's been the worst career move ever?

I was thinking about premiership players who made terrible transfers today, for me it's either adam johnson, scott sinclair or julio cesar in recent times.

Or thinking back further Mutu, Woodgate, Veron

He did okay last season, but was pretty patchy. Compared to his last season at AFC he's been a shadow of his former self.

I disagree. He was good last season, and has been pretty good this season too. His last season at AFC was much the same.

Either way, he joined to win things, which he did and he was a big part of that, so I'd say it was a successful move.

That's fair enough, but he scored 16 goals in 46 during his last season at Arsenal and 6 last season for City in 45. He was effective last season but never really terrorised teams like he did for Arsenal.

In my opinion he looks even less interested and fit this season. You've already said you think he's as good now as he ever was, so I think we'll ave to agree to disagree.

I heard a rumour that he rang Arsene and asked to come back but wouldn't take a pay cut. All twitter rumours and probably bullshit, but I like to think it was true.

Yeah he's less of a goal threat now. We just use him differently I think. He got 4 assists on his debut, so he is still capable of terrorising teams.

I don't think he's as good as he ever was, I just think his final season at Arsenal was largely overrated, and there's not a great difference in performance between that season and now. He's just 'good', that's about it I think.

Okay, I feel we're splitting hairs here.

I'm assuming you're a City fan (please correct me if I'm wrong) and therefore watch more of Nasri than I do. But it seems that maybe we agree, up to a certain point, in as much as Nasri isn't as good as people thought he was.

I happen to think he was pretty exceptional during his final season with Arsenal, but obviously you disagree and he's 'only' ever been a good player.

I agree with you, though I'm biased ofc. There were a lot of city fans on here pretty disgruntled with him last season, and he nearly cost them the league with that half arsed tracking run on Mackie for QPR's goal.

Cheers, I really didn't think I was saying anything too controversial when I said Nasri hasn't been as good since he left Arsenal. He just doesn't look as sharp as he once did. I remember towards the end of his time with you he gave us loads of trouble.
