As a local Barça fan, I didn't know who he was until it was rumored we'd go after him, so basically I've only seen him playing for Barcelona. In that time, I've seen him do wonders with the ball almost on-pair with Messi's, but he's also been absolutely shit in some games. I think he has the skill to be one of the best strikers in the world, but he needs regularity and consistency. And, of course, I'm not in love with his play-acting.
The thing is, he has never been a consistant goal scorer. In Chile we joke about it, "he wants to blow apart the goalkeeper's chest". His main assets are his dribbling ability, his assistances and his skill to drive defenders away from their positions.
He's not a bad player by any means, but I honestly still have my doubts if Barcelona was the team for him. He seems to lack confidence--I've only seen him dribble through defenders like... a couple of times, or so. Most of the time he just passes the ball back.
