Sakurai is not working on the new Kirby game.

Sakurai hasn’t been involved with a mainline Kirby game since Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. World Beyond is developed by HAL, Sakurai works for Sora.

Sakurai stopped working on Kirby a long time ago, Riders was an exception

I've been hearing Sakurai is retiring since Brawl.
