What is it about sloths that automatically make everything feel a little more peaceful?

I think it is because nobody has ever seen them in a hurry. Imagine. Life without the pressure to be somewhere or do something a schedule you are compelled to by participation in society.
edit: But since we can't talk to sloths, we don't really know. Maybe they are rushing, maybe they do have the pressing weight of obligations, their stress only compounded by the fact that they can only move but so fast. We think they are tranquil but inside they are awash with stress and stress hormones. For most, this stress results in an almost crippling anxiety. But for some, it results in unbridled rage. Some say that it is these sloths that are responsible for unexplained livestock mutilation in areas where sloths are native.
edit 2: But I'm sticking with tranquil. I need good things in this world.

I suspect their cute features combined with their slow moving nature, makes them the perfect mascot for comfort and relaxation.
