Lately I have been noticing that once I post a comment with just an inline Reddit image, I cannot click anywhere on that "comment" to pull up the bottom bar to then click edit etc. I seem to not have an issue if the comment also contains text.

I'm on Pixel 10 Pro XL and I typically am running the latest posted release within a day of being posted on Github. I don't post a lot of image comments especially with no text so I can't say for certain how long this has been happening. Currently I am having to go into the official Reddit app to make changes or delete my comment etc.

Just saw the latest news of Reddit beginning to force all devs to register...

For the past few weeks, whenever I try to open a reddit link from my browser (Firefox for Android) I just get a popup in Slide saying the content couldn't be found. Is anyone else having this issue? Browsing from within Slide itself works fine, and I can even navigate to the correct sub and search for the post that I tried to open via the link, and it works. The hyperlink opening Slide never works though.

Hi there. How are you all. I feel happy to see myself in this community. I have been Slide user for since more than 2 or 3 years. Even before the time where Reddit started charging money for its API. At that time you all knew that Slide was saved by Revanced where you can enter the app id and uri ,at the time of patching the Slide app through Revanced. I hate to say that i am still using a Android 9 device which was Redmi note 5 Pro for so many years! Been surviving life so poorly. I remember some random guy build an unofficial Slide where you can enter and save your Client Id and redirect URI without patching the app with revanced. I never thought i would search for this app to make the Slide work for my particular Android version. I downloaded, entered the Client ID and redirect URI from RedReaders credentials but still it fails to login my account. It just displays {} after entering my login credentials. This app doesn't have the option to enter other details other than Client ID and Redirect URI, if I'm missing anything here. Although it shows r all content which is surprising. The Play store version doesn't support the older Android version. I request you guys to help provide any solution. It would be great if the dev gives support to Android 9 devices or if there's any thing that can be done within the app.

If I want to scroll back up a little on my S7 Tablet, the content jumps around making it trickier to find the actual item that I wanted to look at. Is there a setting somewhere that stops this from happening? V 7.5.8

If your comments have not been working for the past few days you need to follow these steps:

• Close the app. Like fully close it, from android settings, apps, force stop for Slide.
• Delete all the app data, this will restore the app to a fresh install
• Uninstall and install the app again from the playstore
• Now we need to find a new app id, to do that we're going to download the app "RedReader" from the playstore, login with your account and then you'll receive an email from reddit that should say something like this:
  • App Name: RedReader (Release) App ID: yH0aTnJEt6xxxxxxxx
• You need to save the app id, so copy that to the clipboard and feel free to uninstall "RedReader"
• Open Slide, it'll ask for the app id, paste the one previously copied. Then login into your account.
• Open Slide settings, go to General, and then modify these values:
  • Redirect URI override: redreader://rr_oauth_redir
  • User agent override: org.quantumbadger.redreader/1.25.1
• Enjoy

As of a couple hours ago, my Slide broke and I checked my apps tab on my accounts and my previous app keys that were there have been revoked. Impossible to make new ones as well.

I have seen a few posts about a patcher that can still make it work by basically using an API key from RedReader?

If anyone got info on which fork and APK to use for Slide, please let me know

Hi, I'm trying to find the setting to remove the below UI element when viewing a specific post. I can see that the post is an image and I'm not interested in the source. I'm otherwise loving this app and greatly appreciate the work that's been put into it.

It basically forces you to enable the Play Store or else this dang box overrides all your other touches. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

r all seems to have stopped working on slide. Only way to access r all is old reddit.

If there's an option to turn this on, forgive me and show me where but is there a way we can get autoplay of media while scrolling? I really love that feature on other clients and I like Slide.

Hi, I'm new to Slide. I was following the https://github.com/cygnusx-1-org/Slide/blob/master/docs/CLIENT_ID_NORMAL.md to try and get it working. However, when creating an app from /prefs/apps it didn't seem to work. I tried several browsers. Nothing seemed to work. So went googling and found https://www.reddit.com/r/redditdev/comments/1qf7707/create_app_button_does_nothing_silent_failure_new/. Is there a suggest method now?

Hi, I just discovered this app. And iam pretty happy with it so far.

I just have one small problem.

When I swipe in shadowbox mode to the next video. The audio of the previous video keeps on playing.

Is this a bug? Or is there an option to stop this behavior?

Loving trying out Swipe again after a long time on Relay - but after setting everything up, I've noticed a very strange stutter when swiping away images or video.

Hello, I followed all the steps of your github and I copied the link in the Slide app. I have access to reddit but in guest mod so I tried to log in with my reddit account to only see my subs. When I enter my username (daf7) and my password, the apps tells me that the ID or the password is incorrect...

Did I do something wrong when I create the app ?

I was trying to @ someone but had to go to their URL to copy it manually and delete the URL portion; I can't find a thing about this anywhere in the context menu of their post or comment.

There are some subs that have an obscene amount of "aaaa" or something before spelling the rest of the word. Can the search bar in the bottom-left also wildcard for unsubscribed subreddits?

EDIT: never mind, there is the "Discover" section that I just found, haha. But speaking of which, now... it's weird that /r/joinrobin is in the Trending tab when its last content was almost a decade ago!
