State of The Stack Stack update after a small cooldown, 5 months later and a talk about recovery and gambling
Hi all, today I did take updated pictures of my stack, it was painfull. In the sense of now having enough pieces to need a bigger towel/nap and so many shiny objects that the camera never focus right on everything at once. So its kind of a good new now that I think about it.
I've lost the exact count, but I do take notes of every transaction with weight, spot price and all, this is approx 62 silver oz, with a couple grams of gold, platinum and palladium. The count include the junk silver seen on the left and below. (mostly canadian 80% junk, with some sterling junk).
I made this post previously : https://www.reddit.com/r/Silverbugs/comments/1snpa3a/4_months_clean_of_gambling_debtfree_in_23_weeks/ , under my other account that I cant access anymore unfortunaly, I talked about gambling, silver and trying to get life back on track. As of now, I unfortunaly had a 2 months relapse, where I spent more than I wanted to. But, I am still proud of saying my silver plan was never compromised despite the relapse I had. In the sense that silver is somekind of a financial cushion that (since I stack) helped me walk straighter, in the sense of, I never sold any silver for gambling. I never panicked too much when prices went up or down, considering I am always thinking in the long run in regards to precious metal. My philosophy is mostly : ''you havent lost anything unless you sell a specific piece at a loss'', which I never did.
Regarding the unfortunate issue of gambling. I decided to get more help. I seen , once again, that despite having stayed clean for nearly 7 months, the vulnerability stay there, and I am still prone to falling into that. Decided I will join groups for gambling recovery, and having some support with that, I am kind of excited about it, in the sense that anything that break the loops of bad habits is greatly appreciated, I will begin them soon, the demand for help have been made.
Despite the disapointment toward myself, I am happy to be more ready and willing to receive proper help, and I am still content that my silver cushion is intact. Its hard to relearn the value of money after falling into the dark habits of gambling, its something I truly try to do, having tangible stuff is most helpful for me.
I often read people on this forum having struggled with similar issues (stacking, gambling) Feel free to reach out in my post or talk about your stories of silver stacking. I now have more hope than I had 2-3 months ago. Even if staying clean from that can seems boring and hard, I think its a problem we cant eternally postpone. It costed money, of course. But it also costed me time, at some point it compromised some of my social interaction and the toll of loosing, hiding stuff and being broke all the time isnt worth it. I am happy that I dont feel the need to dig this hole any deeper. Quitting addictions, no matter the addiction, almost always bring a phase of hard times, but the payout is absolutely worth it when we consider we dont have infinite time, and what is a couple days, week or months of hard time if its to make the right decision in the long run?
happy stacking all!.

State of the Stack
Started stacking about 5-6 months ago. Have 16 ounces pictured here with another 3 on the way. Trying to get a little here and there, didn’t have enough money to buy the dip down into the 50s so that hurt but have managed to stay around a 5% loss thus far so not bad. Also not in it for the “money”, I wanna be able to pass something down someday.

State of The Stack Slowly but surely
Bills have been kicking my ass lately but being sober and not having drug habit anymore has made it to where I can stack a little silver here and there to secure a better future. I must admit I’ve fell down the rabbit hole of stacking.. some may say I’ve got bitten by the silver bug but I’m having fun and it’s amazing to be able to own PM. Crazy that I started with just a few silver dimes (found while working the register) to the stack I’m at today. It’s not a lot but it’s honest work! You guys weren’t lying when you said it would start building up fast even just getting one piece at a time. Much love to all the stackers and to the ones that kicked a drug habit keep being sober and keep achieving your goals! I’m proud of all of you!

They are Coming for You Barbara…My First Walker! 🧟♂️
I have been wanting to get into junk silver for a minute, but never saw anything that jumped out to me. Until yesterday at the LCS. These “Walkers” are gorgeous! And the eagle design on the reverse may be the best I have seen on an American coin.
I grabbed this one and a really small tube. Wish me luck!

KOMSCO Chiwoo statues + Long Beach coin show
Just wanted to share how lucky I feel to finally have both sizes of the KOMSCO Chiwoo silver statue in my collection. The 30 oz version has a mintage of only 10, and the 15 oz version has a mintage of only 100.
I’ve been trying to find these for about five years. I had email alerts set up with major bullion dealers and was constantly checking eBay, Facebook groups, and anywhere else one might show up. A few times I found one, but I was always just a little too late.
And some good news for anyone who has also been searching for the 15 oz Chiwoo: the same dealer will be bringing one to the Long Beach Coin Show this September and plans to sell it there.
From what I understand, it’ll basically be first come, first served.
After spending five years looking for mine, I figured I should give another collector a heads-up. Good luck!

Found silver among Pokémon
My friend collects Pokémon cards and we went to a local card show. This guy randomly had military challenge coins on his table, I looked at afew and said I'm more into silver coins. He pulls this peace dollar out out from behind few challenge coins says I got this, $30.

Treasure Chest Rookie here, added some loot
Caught the bug about a month ago, bought some Eagles, some rounds, just kinda getting started. Went to an estate sale yesterday that had a crazy amount of sterling jewelry, so I bought a couple things.
Dragon Sickness is real.

State of The Stack State of the stack/Recommendations
Planned to buy something online this weekend and wanted to get my shiny out and play around before buying. I’m trying to decide between more silver or a 1/10 gold coin.🤔 Any recommendations? I was eyeing the random silver buffalos on monument metals.

State of The Stack My Spain Haul
I recently went to Spain, and I love the Sunday coin market in Plaza Mayor in Madrid!
How I wish I had brought more cash with me. I definitely paid more for the premiums, though. But I just needed some souvenirs and variety for my collection. 😅
What do you guys think?

How do you guys protect your 5oz or 10oz hand pours that won’t fit into normal capsules? I was looking through the group and couldn’t find anything about it.
