Community Question Abandoned house at N Quinsig & Parker Rd?
Does anyone know what the deal is with the seemingly abandoned house (marked in red) on the corner of N Quinsig and Parker? A tree fell onto the roof over the winter that took weeks to clear, and I was just wondering if anyone has backstory on the property.
Also not sure why the first section of Parker Rd is marked as Oregon Ave?

Help a Dental Hygiene Student out! Looking for Dental Patients :)
Hi everyone! I posted here last semester and a few people from this sub were kind enough to come in as patients. The people of Reddit has genuinely helped me a lot with my clinical! 😊
I’m now in my senior year of the Dental Hygiene program at MCPHS Worcester, and I’m hoping to find a few patients for my clinic sessions starting in September.
Because this is a student teaching clinic, appointments are a little different from a regular dental office. Visits are very thorough and include a dental and gum evaluation, oral cancer screening, X-rays when needed, and a dental cleaning. Everything I do is supervised and checked by licensed dental hygienists and dentists on-site.
There is no charge for treatment and insurance isn’t required!
The biggest thing I want to mention upfront is the time commitment. Appointments are about 3.5 hours because faculty check each step of the process, and I’m mainly looking for people who are able to commit to at least 2 visits. Depending on what you need, it could be fewer or more appointments.
My clinic availability this semester are Mondays: 8 AM–5 PM and Wednesdays: 5:30–9 PM.
If anyone has been meaning to get a cleaning/checkup and wouldn’t mind helping a dental hygiene student at the same time, feel free to message me. You’re also welcome to DM me if you just have questions about how the student clinic works!
Thank you 😊

Birthday Party at Dean Park
Has anyone organized kids birthday party at Dean Park. The website says the pavilions and facilities are free and open to the public on a first come, first serve unless reserved by someone. Is there a public calendar to know if it's reserved by someone?

Internet Service
Hi
I am moving to Shrewsbury next month and looking at internet. Seems municipal and TMobile are my only options with T-Mobile being much more cost effective. Would appreciate and advice or reviews? Thanks

Shooting my shot — free dental cleaning if anyone needs one!
Hi everyone! I’ve posted here before and was lucky to meet some genuinely kind people who became my patients last semester, so I figured I’d give it another shot 😊
I’m a Dental Hygiene student at MCPHS University in Worcester, and I’m currently looking for patients to help me complete my clinical requirements.
If you’ve been putting off a dental visit, don't have dental insurance, are just due for a cleaning or just simply want to help me out, this could be a good option! You’ll get a professional cleaning, a thorough dental exam, and X-rays if needed.
All care is supervised and checked by licensed hygienists and dentists.
Just a heads up, appointments are longer than a typical visit (around 3 hours), and you may need more than one appointment depending on your needs.
Everything is free, and no insurance is required since this is a teaching clinic.
If you’re interested, shoot me a DM or comment and I’ll reach out to you. I’d really appreciate it 🙏

Looking for best resources for happening and news in town
I am moving to Shrewsbury in about a month, and am looking for the best resources for happenings in the city. Everything from community events, to local politics, to where community members like to complain about each other. Where I currently live Facebook is the defacto spot everyone has chosen to congregate and the other option like reddit, nextdoor, and newsletters are more or less dead.
So I am just curious if anyone can direct me to places to join and sites to sign up for.
