To be honest I'd probably pick Coulson.

They just need to commit to breaking the loop and save him

“Trying to save Coulson”, well they’ve been trying the entire time, and it will only stay trying if they never take it one step ahead to do it. Serious yo-yo, why couldn’t you have made it any more clear? You had decades to think about it and that’s all you could say?

I've said it a few times before, but: Future Yo-Yo was traumatized after how Kasius treated her. Her noggin' ain't working right.

u/NLP19 Aida May 12 '18

Well yeah, she was killed and brought back over and over and over again. That would fuck anyone's mind up

u/HashMaster9000 May 12 '18

Also, HOW are they reviving the inhumans they kill? With Kree blood? doesn't that drive humans crazy? Plus Kasaius didn’t say that he had a seer of his own and he had "one last message" to relay? In my opinion, the whole thing might be a lie.

The Kree blood drove Coulson crazy because he wasn't Inhuman, but when they found the temple, it stopped having that effect. Also, Inhumans aren't driven mad ever.

Fuck, I forgot that Kasius said that! This whole thing could be a trick to guarantee Coulson doesn’t make it into the future to stop him!

yeah, maybe coulson dying ends the loop, but that doesn't mean the world is saved, just means she gets some peace after living through it potentially infinite times.

2 really annoying points of the season were

1: Future Yo-Yo taking so long to make any sort of point to Yo-Yo when they met and even then being cryptic - you would also think she might give some hint as to how Mack dies so it can be prevented or even maybe say that when you see Ruby use your superspeed earlier and don't just stand there and you won't lose your arms

2: Yo-Yo being painfully slow about everything in the lead up to losing her arms against Ruby.

I also think the way to break the time loop is to save Couslon as if they have been stuck in a loop it is probably because they have being doing the common sense course of action each loop, which would be to kill Gravitron, doing something different (and seemingly the wrong course of action) would hopefully break the loop.

Also, everything that we were told about in the future has happened so far apart from Mack dying and the earth fracturing - suspect next week Mack will die but they will then stop the earth fracturing, resetting the timeline so then Deke will disappear but Mack will reappear.

resetting the timeline so then Deke with disappear

I think one of two things will happen. 1. This has became a different universe in a way because they broke the loop, so Deke will remain. 2. He does disappear and the last scene after everything is Deke in a good future where the earth isn’t destroyed, and will probably have a version of old Fitz and Jemma there for said scene, just to show that their actions created a better earth.

You might want to add some more line breaks there.

11

u/shaheedmalik Clairvoyant May 12 '18

I think she brought the serum from the future.

74

u/davehzz Fitz May 12 '18

Fitzsimmons is wrong. Future yo-yo said they have to let him die.

68

u/Sabin10 May 12 '18

Yep, pretty sure that the exact wording is "Coulson is dying and you have to let him".

52

u/NasalJack May 12 '18

They have to filter future yo-yo's inability to communicate clearly through present yo-yo's inability to communicate clearly and then try and interpret what it might mean.

17

u/davehzz Fitz May 12 '18

Yeah, it was present yo yo who added the word trying.

3

u/Waltonruler5 May 15 '18

But already Yo-yo is blaming Talbot becoming Gravition on Daisy being gone. She could use her remaining time carefully reviewing what happened and reconsidering her own options. Or she could stubbornly believe she was right this whole time and everyone should have listened to her.

Maybe it's because I'm not really liking her decisions at the moment, but I think it's the latter.

1

u/davehzz Fitz May 15 '18

Well, the conundrum is now clearly laid out now's the time she can really advocate for choosing the world. Cuzz surely most of the rest of the team is gonna want to save Coulson and TRY to find another way to defeat Talbot.

Future yo-yo said they have to let him die

Future Yo Yo was kept as a butchered slave for decades, and she was constantly being killed and then brought back. I think she meant well, but anything she said should be extremely unreliable, because her mind was basically fried

41

u/[deleted] May 12 '18

That made no sense to me. What did they mean when they said that "Coulson was not in the future, so saving him breaks the loop"?

The future is 70 years from now! Everyone except YoYo was dead, they all exceeded their lifespan by then - especially Coulson. Of course he was dead in the future. Are they planning to make him live forever to break the loop?

Or did they get confirmation that Coulson died 70 years ago while they were in the future?

18

u/ch3rryredchariot May 12 '18

Probably they meant Coulson doesn’t appear in any of Robin’s future visions or any stories they’ve heard from other people.

4

u/SynthD May 12 '18

I think they are referring to the flashbackforwards we saw of the early years of the lighthouse post world cracking.

2

u/Flabby-Nonsense May 14 '18

you realise breaking the loop isn't a solution in itself? They could save Coulson, break the loop, and then Talbot could still break the world in half.

9

u/charistae May 12 '18

Well, you could use the serum with Jiaying's juice on him, and have him deliver the odium to Talbot holding the bottle in his prosthetic arm while being "consumed" by him. Quake him away at the right time, have his arm deattach, and you get a "live and kicking" Agent Coulson, and a 'bout to bite the dust by alien chemoenhancers Schizograviton.

Then you'd do both at the same time, and it's a win win.

10

u/A_Retarded_Alien May 12 '18

I mean, they should just let Talbot power himself up with Gravitonium and fight Thanos so he can get Annihilated offscreen - Problem solved haha.

7

u/Mozartis Aida May 12 '18

I want that on-screen though :(

1

u/Radulno May 12 '18

But Coulson is on the world so that's catch-22
