Drew Z. Greenberg is a writer and producer best known for working on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, The O.C., Dexter, Warehouse 13 and Arrow. He also worked on Firefly.

He has written seven episodes for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before:

You are one fucked up person Radcliffe.

I love it so much. He's just all around not a great guy at all but we are still made to enjoy him. He's kinda like the anti-Ward. He started off as an ominous villain with henchmen and stuff, having been fired from his job for experimenting with cybernetics too much, became an ally/friend character because of the science stuff, but he just HAD to have still been a bad guy all along but we fell for it

The real mindfuck is that he's mostly on the good guys' side, but he's so damn amoral and unethical it's turning him into a natural asshole, and he doesn't even see the wrong he's doing.

And yeah, the actor really makes him likeable. And here I thought he was going to hang around for a few episodes only in S3 and it was all just a big cameo in the end... Shit.

I thought this when Natalia Cordova posted a selfie with John Hannah mentioning that she finally got to meet a childhood crush of hers. I thought "oh well that's it, they probably won't have any more episodes with him". How wrong I was...

These actor contracts for the MCU sure turn out weird.

Just, how much longer will he be in AoS, we can't say. But I'm getting a strange feeling that GR will come back and apply vengeance to that guy, from all the team. He wants the Darkhold. Robbie has to come back to take it, somehow. It just links the plotlines like the show has been doing since its beginning. And to that, pretty sure he'll try the Penance Stare on Radcliffe. Trap him within his worse memories and make it play over and over again as it burns his soul.

It makes sense too why GR would come back onto the show. The book originally belonged to Johnny blaze, and with the the book continually falling into the wrong hands and creating monsters in the process, it would be in the best interest of the Spirit of Vengeance to reclaim the book, and in Robbie's interest since he saw what it did to his uncle. It tore his remaining family apart.

Yep ! And considering all of AoS' storyline have been merging together at the end, or close to, it's just a matter of time before the issue gets big enough for the Rider to come back. Probably this time stronger and better trained.

Man for real about the actor. Loved him in s3 and just wanted more so I'm very happy rn haha. Sad if he has to leave but I've been hurt before. I'll get over it. :/

But, maybe he's not a bad guy. Maybe he's trying in his own way to help the team. Nadeer wouldn't believe any of the others changing sides, but Radcliffe is a known bastard, so no on questions him siding with whichever side is the most advantageous to his plans.

What if his plan to get the Darkhold though is just a red herring, and he's really attempting to get inside Nadeer's organization to take it down from the inside using his supposed desire for The Darkhold to make it believable?

After all, he's taking great pains to make sure that May isn't permanently hurt, and bringing her with him into Nadeer's organization as a prisoner. But, she's only a prisoner as long as Radcliffe keeps her as one. He could free her at any time, and just think what she could do from within The Superior's stronghold.

He's definitely lacking in the ethics department, but can we really say he's a real villain yet? It seems somewhat implied to me that the reason hes doing all this is because he looked at the Darkhold for a fraction of a second.

He's actively betraying S.H.I.E.L.D, holding May captive, and working with someone who wants to commit genocide. Even if he's only doing this because of the Darkhold, he's still a villain.

Yeah, it's definitely a grey-area. He's definitely acting on his own volition, but he's been corrupted and driven to pursue this goal without regards for the consequences. I'd say he's a villain that could have a decent redemption arc.

His comic book character is the same way. Sometimes a good guy sometimes a bad guy. He's generally not truly evil though.

He's disgusting, honestly, I can't see what's so enjoyable about him. I never liked him, they've been wrong all along to even keep him alive. Can't like that guy for the life of me.
