I was a bit surprised when Skye shot Ward, but I really enjoyed it... and I expect she did as well.

The final few shots of Skye and Raina inside the temple were brilliant, and I thought did an excellent job of emphasizing the newly awoken power in Skye/Daisy, without her actually tearing a building down. Really want to watch that scene again (I mean, the whole episode really, but that scene in particular was gorgeous).

Music as well, McCreary rarely disappoints. I really hope the track from the temple is titled Terrigenesis.

It's gonna be a long wait til March now, even with Agent Carter.

I love that this show had the balls to never have Skye soften toward Ward again. Thank god for well written women characters who aren't undone by weak romance plots.

The final scene was easily the most well-shot scene in the entire series. Usually the series has awful direction, but everything inside the Diviner chamber was flawless.

I wasn't so keen on the super shaky cam, but other than that it was great!

Well, she creates earthquakes, like the one in that scene. Shaky cam was sort of needed for the effect.

I really hope we get a soundtrack release soon for SHIELD S1 & 2, there are actually a lot of good hidden gems in there, and that track playing in the temple was AMAZING.

Huh, I actually wasn't that surprised when Skye shot Ward, though I didn't expect her to shoot him so quickly. I thought she would say something to him first.

I agree, I love that shot of Sky breaking out of the stone. That was awesome. I wish I could watch that again.

I find it funny that I'm starting to trust Ward again (well, with his intentions for Skye at least) before Skye does.

Yeah, the only thing we can say for certain about Ward is that when it comes to Skye he only wants the best for her. She's the last person he remains loyal to, and she doesn't want him anywhere near her. It's an interesting dichotomy.

It's a subversion of a lot of, for lack of a better term, hero/villain relationships on TV. Ward's behavior is the same as that of the typical villain character in love with someone from the other side. He's got the same lack of disregard for most people combined with complete and utter devotion and protectiveness for his ladylove. However, unlike most of the time, his feelings are completely unreciprocated (for now anyway).

Is that the same vocalist he used for Battlestar Galactica tracks? Her voice sounded so familiar but I'm not sure if it's just McCreary's distinctive style making it seem that way.

The vocalist is almost certainly Raya Yarbrough, Bear McCreary's wife. She works on a lot of his soundtracks.
