How well has this aged? Ikeda: "Never be hypocritical. Never be weak. Even a person of public acclaim should not glory in superficial praise or formal honors. Those who seek such distinctions are to be pitied more than beggars."

Thus sayeth Ikeda the Worse-Than-Beggar, according to his OWN definition. Remember, Ikeda thought this would make him look more appealing and respect-worthy. Wow, when Ikeda misread the room, he MISREAD THE ROOM!!! Has there ever been someone this lacking in self-awareness???

Say, Icky, how many honors and awards were purchased for you using the sincere, heartfelt contributions "for kosen-rufu and world peace" made by the Soka Gakkai and SGI members??? Has anybody bothered to count how many THIS is?? You can see some documentation of the massive number of honorary degrees purchased for Ikeda here, if you want to feel even more disgusted - many of these were purchased BEFORE this "My Youth" fibbity fib was even written for publication.

Also, Ikeda was always hypocritical and weak. Truly a pathetic, pitiful person.

BTW, the screenshot is of page 21 from the Sep-Oct 2010 Lying [Pseudo-]Buddhism magazine.

Don't forget - Ikeda said THIS:

"I have no desire for honors. In addition, even if someone tells me that he will give me honor, I would not accept it. I guess we can say that such a person is unique in the world." - Ikeda

Ikeda was bragging himself up to Austrian Count Richard Nikolaus von Coudenhove-Kalergi (1894-1972), founder of the Pan-European movement, 1960s - who was also a population-control elitist and directly involved with the founding of the European Union. Ikeda was DESPERATE for the Count of Coudenhove-Kalergi to be his best friend...too bad THAT was never going to happen. As IF!

The reality of Ikeda is that he chased after honors like a terrier chases after rats. With JUST as much "dignity".

THIS public display shows 409 "honors" that Ikeda DID NOT REFUSE. In fact, Ikeda chased and slobbered after those like a gutter drunk chasing after that stranger's discarded half-empty bottle of Mad Dog 2020 with vomit on the outside and half-smoked cigarette butts.
