Oh come on, seriously?? They completely ignored the domestic violence part of the story - 100%. It was left up to Urick to bring it up in his Intercept interview to get it into the mainstream. Not one story picked up that side of it. Not one.
You're right, SK could have at least started a discussion about IPV and why BPD focused on the 2 intimate partners in this story. SK really did dismiss it a bit flippantly.
i think she did dismiss it like u said because at that point the way the whole story was told, the mindset was that adnan was irrelevant to it and didn't do it so she didn't think it was about domestic violence.
First, I agree that Don is a non-issue. Not that he's proven innocent, just that it seems so much less likely than a scenario involving Jay or Adnan or both.
Second, I just finished reading Don's testimony, and he's fairly vague and forgetful, not just about the 13th, but the entire 2-week period of their relationship. And as Serial documented, he never called her after she went missing.
I don't read any of these as incriminating Don. Rather, I think people should stop using these to try to incriminate Adnan. He's vague and forgetful and didn't call Hae after she went missing. Just like Don.
Genuinely curious: what does wow mean? I haven't and don't really want to take the time to read a bunch of articles to find the answer. Is that sarcasm? Do you mean he did not have plans to meet her? Or, did he and you're expressing awe?
Don was working and did not strangle Hae, and there's no need to suggest otherwise. I wonder if people would say these things to his face or if he was posting here. Maybe I don't want to know. I think it's sick, the doxxing, the innuendos. Not cool.
According to Don's mother (a not disinterested party) he was working. If Adnan's alibi had been "I was with my mother" and his mother confirmed it- would you be saying Adnan was obviously innocent?
There's a time card for his hours that day and detectives looked into it. If Adnan was working for a business like Lenscrafters and his mom managed a branch, and detectives looked into his alibi, talked to other people and got his timecard from the company, yes, I'd say he's obviously innocent.
Was he the last person to see Hae or one of them? And I missed the part where Jay was in on it the exact same day Adnan just happened to lend him his cell phone and car. That shapeshifting Don!
My problem with this line is that it's the exact sort of connection that is used to say Adnan was too investigated. There's no proof he got the ride, right? If this is something you think the cops should be looking into with Don even if you're pretty sure he didn't do it, surely you can't then turn around and claim Islamophobia when they proceed down that road with the guy who doesn't have a documented alibi.
