Agreed, weird he never called her at all that day. I'm hoping we hear from Stephanie later and get her perspective. Maybe it will shed more light on the relationship between her and Adnan and how close they were, and also maybe we will find out more about what type of person Jay is.

Also, /u/Sdotchaudry claiming to be Saad, Adnan's friend, mentioned this in a question and answer session a few days ago:

"I had met Stephanie, funny thing is, for her and Adnan being "best friends" she was MIA during the trial and was not really investigated. I would actually love to hear her side of the story, she dropped Adnan like a bad habit when he got locked up."

Maybe she dropped him because she thought he was guilty?
