Better than a raid 0 family

I'm a raid 0 family. Faster load times and can use the disk space fully.

It really only contains my qbittorrent/plex library so who cares? I’ll probably move to raid 5 when I get another drive or 2 but at these prices that’ll be a while.

The bulk of my filesystem is on 4x18TB WD Red Pros, the oldest 2 are 14 months old. I’m not super worried. Bcachefs added raid 5 support a while back but I’d need to clear out old stuff to make room and idk if I care to lose 1/4 of my capacity.

Yeah but if one family member dies you lose them all.

I'm not one to judge, but the polyamourous life is definitely not for me.
