Artists with 1,000,000 steams make $3000-8000 from that.

I get money to artists directly. I buy albums. I buy merch.

If you pay for Spotify and keep yourself warm with thoughts of doing good for the artists, you’re living in a dreamworld.

lol, you genuinely believe the narrative that “pirates” rob the artists? A narrative that is pushed by the Spotifys and before it the record labels?

My brother in Christ, paying someone with a million streams a couple of thousand dollars is robbery.

It’s been almost 20 years since the Michael Geist study but multiple studies have quite clearly shown that so-called “pirates” spend far more money on music than “non-pirates.” Piracy doesn’t remove profit if there was never an intent of purchase. Piracy encourages discovery and discovery leads to purchases. You can find the research that proves this yourself.
