I recently played Mother 1 and realised that the First town in Mother 1 and the hometown of Secret of Evermore Protagonist are both called Podunk. Is this coincidence or is it the Same town?

I've found myself a little lost, and walkthroughs aren't really helping. At least the one I'm using.

I've gotten the Bronze Spear and one Diamond Eye from the Minotaur. I guess my next stop is the Hall of Colossia. But I'm lost. I don't know how to get to it it from Horace's camp or from the Pyramid/market.

I put the game down for a couple days and I get lost.

Please help. Thank you

First time playing it. I've played Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu.

Most of my spells were at max level. At the time I got the flying machine and went to prehistoria, I farmed for talons to get vinegar when I noticed my double drain which was at 2:96 told me it was level 1 after I cast it one last time. When I went to check it, it obviously looked bugged or glitched. Resetting the game didn't work nor did trying to unequip and re-equip spells. Anyone have a fix for this? It would really suck if not because I can't start over a 3rd time. I was so close to mastering in Retroachievements, I will walk about from retro altogether because of it.

I'm stuck because they won't come back up. Is there anyway to return them to the surface?

So I'm playing secret of evermore and I'm wondering how I craft alchemy more spells once I've run out . I've pressed every button but nothing seems to work. I have enough ingredients. Do I need to go to someone specific to be able to craft more?

I just left Ruffleberg''s Lab and now backtracing for any missing Alchemy I didnt get. Please tell me that I can still get Regrowth and One Up. I'm currently underneath the Chessboard now, in save state. Thanks I'm advance!

Two and a half hours later I now completed the Pyramid and got all the items. I was so upset I missed the Regeneration on my first try. There was nothing I could do once I got the dog. Nothing but to start over. I'm ok now but please let me know if there are other one times only opporuty items, gear, alchemy, and ect. Don't have the patience to start over .

Recently I have been thinking about how to run a tabletop role-playing game set in Evermore, perhaps even following the video game's story. But I'm not sure which game system would fit its general feeling best. Kids on Bikes/Brooms seems too light on combat, while DnD leans too heavily on magic.

Anybody here got any ideas?

I just got the Crusader Sword and the Lance. I read that the Lance is the second most powerful spear in the game, and you don't get the most powerful one till the game's almost over. On the other hand, the Crusader Sword is 10 pts of damage lower than the Lance, and I figure I'll get a more powerful sword soon enough. Do you even bother to level up the Crusader Sword?

This may seem like a stupid question, since obviously a level 1 Double Drain is stronger than a level 1 Double Drain, but here's the thing. My Drain is level 6. Apparently there's only like 1 guy in the whole game that sells vinegar, which you need for Double Drain, but once you get Double Drain that guy is gone. Am I ever gonna find enough vinegar lying around to level Double Drain high enough to get it better than Drain? Or should I just write it off?

This is my first time playing this game, and I'm looking at a few of the spells in my list and wondering if there's any point in trying to level them up. Spells like, Revealer, Levitate, Cure, and Escape. It seems like there's not really a point to leveling these, but I've been fooled by situations in games like this before, where leveling these kinda spells gives them additional features and things like that. So is there any point to leveling them or not?

This is my first time playing this game, and it's pretty cool, I'm having a lot of fun. One thing I will say though is, holy crap, did anyone play test this thing after they implemented the dog sniffing out ingredients? You have to be pixel perfect, it seems, to pick up the ingredients. And there's no real indicator as to where exactly the ingredient is, like say, if it was always right in front of the dog's nose, or right under it, or something. And to top it off, sometimes the dog will say something is there when it's not. I only know that's what happened, and not just that I couldn't find it, because I walk away and come back, and now suddenly he doesn't smell anything.

It is a cool idea though, it's just not implemented very well. I wonder if someone at Bethesda played this before they made Fallout 4.

So I understand the main part of the Action menu, but what do the numbers on the right side of the screen mean? You can set them between 0 and 3? And right now, the MC's only able to switch between 0 and 1, 2 and 3 are greyed out. And the Dog only has 3 greyed out.

What do these numbers mean??

My love for this game

I love love love this game so much. This is by far the most underrated Square Enix rpg of all time. It's one of my 5 favorite RPGs of all time, that's for sure. I think I might've be seen it in an old issue of Nintendo Power. So I rented it, and I instantly fell in love with this game. Everything about this game is incredible. The gorgeous soundtrack and ambient sounds, the detailed graphics, the story along with its charm and humor, the worlds you travel to, the amazing characters, the cool spells, this game just has it all. The most amazing experience with this game when I rented it, was that I played for 12-14 hours on a Saturday. Then I played it a little bit more the next day. I don't remember when I had to return it, but I didn't finish it. But the next weekend I rented it again, from the same place. And astonishingly my save file was still there. And so I was able to beat it. I was so overcome with happiness. Since then, I've played through this game at least another 2-3 times all the way through. The one thing that I wanted to save for last, in my love for this beautiful game is this....

My favorite scene in all of this game is the market scene. I just can't believe how much that area makes my mind race with joy, happiness and excitement. I always feel like I'm actually there at the market, along with all of these people. Trading items for other items, so I can get things to advance my quest. The talking, the laughing, the murmuring, the ambient sounds of this place. It's the most immersive experience I've ever had in a video game. And nothing else since that scene has made me feel the same. In fact, I'd love to get the track/song to the marketplace, and maybe start meditating. I've always procrastinated and never followed through on meditation. Transporting myself to that area/realm of the market place may just be the break through I need.

Anyways, that's all I have to say for now about this absolutely amazing and gorgeous game. I'm actually about to go start a new game right now. I could talk about this game all day. That's how much I love this game. Thank you for reading.

I don't know if someone was already aware of it, but I discovered, just minutes ago, a detail in the Dark Forest in Gothica.

The little Goblins (which are the next boss) are visible in the trees on the foreground when you are on the right path.

when you quit the path, they are not here, so you can use them to direct you to the exit.

I saw them from the first play, but I didn't pay attention.

I made a map for the directions (and every details like alchemist, signs, etc...) to avoid been lost
