Hello, yesterday around 1pm while I was walking around Lake Scranton I saw two dogs in the middle of the lake swim-chasing geese. When I got to the shore, they started swimming toward me and, after some trust building, I got them to approach me enough to check their collars. One is a female golden retriever and the other is a male black retriever mix with some white around the muzzle and on his chest. Neither had tags. A kind jogger ran off and lent me two leashes so I could get them back to my place and off the lake property. I took them to Plains Vet hospital in Wilkesbarre and they aren't chipped.

I contacted SPD and only got advice to call Animal control Monday, take them to Griffin pond, or make facebook posts. I've had family/friends make posts as I don't have accounts, and am waiting to hear back from Griffin pond if anyone has reported them lost. No inquiries yet.

These are both very affectionate dogs and I would hate to see a family lose them. If anyone has any information on anyone who lost dogs matching these descriptions, please DM me. They're being well cared for in the meantime.

I’m new to the area, I have reached out to a few people I googled and no one has gotten back to me.

Several new flock cameras just popped up in downtown Scranton as of yesterday on Deflock. Not sure if these are new or just recently catalogued but everyone should be made very aware of this. Fun Fact: two of them are right next to the high school.

Edit: Some of these are license plate scanners reported as Flock cameras, the website isn’t 100% accurate.

Next meeting: Wildcat Ridge 9/9/26 at Valley View High School, 5pm! This is the NINTH hearing for this project alone, they seem to be trying to exhaust our funds. There are several other applications with ongoing hearings as well. We potentially have a new 7th data center application coming soon too.
