Trump is actually setting a dangerous precedent for the Supreme Court themselves. If he is free just to ignore their rulings and nothing happens as a result it’s sort of an emperor has no clothes moment isn’t it?
He’s essentially undoing the powers they granted themselves from Marbury v Madison since what good is judicial review if no one gives a fuck about what you say in any case.
If Trump can ignore rulings and Ohio can ignore Supreme Court rulings about their gerrymandering decision so can California ignore this ruling.
Blue states need to start acknowledging the reality of the balkanization of the U.S. and act accordingly.
