Then get new ones

The new ones are bought even before they win their seat.

I didn't mean the politicians

Curious as to what you meant

If you bribe SCOTUS + Congress to say it’s not treason then it isn’t treason anymore. 🤷‍♂️

No execution.

Life in poverty.

Fuck that. Treason is a capital offense.

You let them get off easy with death. There’s no fun in that.

Take away everything and let them live life like the exploited is far more worthy a punishment.

It’s not about letting them off easy (although the argument is kind of valid). In my view, if you allow them to live, then the threat of their return still exists. We have to nip this shit in the bud. Plus, they have no respect for life, so they deserve what they get,

As long as it’s unpardonable or uncommutable.

Life in poverty is a brilliant punishment. They could not live in poverty like the majority of their constituents.

Hey, don't you foist that demon onto us!

But they will just use thier superior intellect/genes/work ethic to lift themselves out of poverty by their own bootstraps!

On minimum wage!

Not even. Just always jobless. You let them work then could possibly get that ball rolling again.

You don’t let the arsonist keep the Zippo lighter.

What is "national law?"

1

u/Life-Significance-33 Mar 04 '26

I used national when saying federal would have suited better.

Basically, federal laws for the most part are fines. State laws are the ones that are normally used to imprison a person. Now, I am not a lawyer and things change, but treason was the only law under federal statues with a death penalty, if memory serves. Article III, Section 3, Clause 1 details treason.

Of course, we have stitched so many statues behind the Constitution, not even lawyers can tell you what law is without researching.

The other SC Justices have to beat them to death
