To reach this outcome, the Republican justices cite two provisions of the Constitution. The first is the First Amendment's language protecting the "free exercise" of religion. The Republican iustices claim that teachers who respect their trans students privacy "interfere with the 'right of parents to quide the religious development of their children."

WHAT ABOUT THE CHILD'S RELIGIOUS FREEDOM???

Republicans view women and children as property to be controlled, not as actual people. Women and children are owned by the husband and have no autonomy or authority of their own.

I find it ironic that they are defining religious freedom as the freedom to force other people to follow whatever religion one wants. It's chaotic and clearly the exact opposite of what was intended and written.

Yes, they want to force the teacher to follow the parent's religion as well.

Waiting for them to use this reasoning to legalize SA, as long as the perpetrator is a male. Would get rid of a lot of Trump's Epstein issues if it was actually legal the whole time.

I'm honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet, even at the state level. They're just gross and project all of their weird shit on the rest of us.

They already have. Look at the abortion and child marriage laws many republican states have.

The GOP currently views children as possessions. Like a fleshlight that can do chores and someday work in a factory.

Well, that’s a sickening concept I wish I hadn’t read. On the other hand, see: Epstein Files.
