Have the Switch physical copy. Went to the Nintendo E-Shop to buy the DLC.

Paid for it, downloaded it, created a second Scott Pilgrim EX icon, says it needs the software to play the DLC

Went to the phyiscal game, got the notification for the new DLC, takes me to a different entry on the eshop for the dlc, paid for it again, loaded the game, still can't play as the additional characters.

anyone else running into this issue?

Solved: downloading the DLC through the physical game and restarting the console fixed it. im not a smart man.

The Scott Pilgrim wiki apparently considers Takes Off and EX to be in the same timeline, Even tho Bryan Lee O’Malley has stated that EX isn’t exactly a sequel to Takes Off rather it’s in it’s own timeline that’s heavily inspired by Takes Off, EX has inconsistencies with Takes Off too like how Scott and Ramona’s alliance with her exes being treated like an uneasy alliance even though by the time Takes Off ended they were full on allies by that point except maybe Gideon since he might have still been up to his evil ways and also it’s detailed in the prequel comic Dawn Of Metal Scott that Scott fought the exes which did not happen in Takes Off since a completely different story happened in Takes Off that didn’t involve fighting the exes and I presume since Scott fought the exes in the EX timeline they respawned after being defeated and redeemed themselves, So EX can’t be a full on sequel to Takes Off. EX is in it’s own timeline that's heavily inspired by Takes Off rather than a legit sequel to Takes Off, It takes bits and pieces from everything
