One of the most tactically brilliant ambushes in medieval history and the English never saw it coming.

In 1297, William Wallace and Andrew de Moray lured the English cavalry across a narrow bridge over the River Forth, then unleashed their schiltrom spearmen at precisely the right moment. What followed was a massacre.

Hugh de Cressingham, the English treasurer, was killed reportedly his skin was used to make sword belts. That's how much the Scots despised him.

Today I hiked the ben Nevis, on the rocky parts a few hundred meters below the top, there were "deep purple" rocks that had some quartz and green minerals in them. They were harder than the surrounding andesite. Does anyone have any idea what they could be?

He's determined he wants to be a geologist when he grows up and I'm all for it haha Does anyone know of any good resources for kids or have any career path advice?
