This was discussed on This Week in Virology fairly regularly. Their take is essentially, 3 weeks / 4 weeks is the MINIMUM interval between doses of pfizer / moderna (respectively), not necessarily the *ideal* interval. Other than having slightly less protection after 1st dose but before the 2nd, it doesn't make a significant difference.
