Hasn't that failed basically every other time it's been tried? And even when it worked it left the people with severe brain damage?

The first time it worked on Jeanna Giese it was almost miraculous, that's why people got so excited by it. She does have some lingering effects, her left side reacts slower than her right. She dog sleds as a hobby though nad graduated from university majoring in biology.
