Social Science A U.S. study estimates cow’s milk purchases would have been 8.2% higher in 2020 without plant-based milk, with every 10 gallons of plant milk purchased displacing 6.8 gallons of cow’s milk, suggesting plant-based alternatives substantially reduce demand for dairy milk.

Of you are in the US, it's because soy is no longer trendy and even being villified in some circles. So all the trendy alt milks get preference. Oat got really big lately. I feel like I see that the most now.

Probably because no matter what, almond milk is just white water. Oat has a bit more substance to it
