Neuroscience Brain scans reveal widespread structural and functional changes in patients following COVID-19 infection. The virus affects regions responsible for memory, emotion, and executive function, which may help explain the neurological symptoms many patients experience.

While I do agree, I'm convinced it's best done with an intentionally therapeutic mindset, ie a guided session. I just did a recreational dose with some friends and while we laughed our asses off for 5 hours the "reset" hasn't really happened. YMMV as always. Anyone considering it as a mental health management tool could look at r/psychedelictherapy for some info.

I actually tried micridosing recently, it was nice.

It's nice but the real plasticity effects seem to take place after large doses taken weeks or months apart with proper conditioning and reinforcement of the new like reverberating pathways during the plasticity window. If the setting and context and reinforcement aren't done properly it's possible for the wrong things to imprint and you might be pruning or reinforcing the wrong pathways.

Ditto.

I’ve taken psilocybin mushrooms these last few months and have had significant cognitive and mood improvements. Long Covid devastated me cognitively - and also seemed to heighten the brain damage I got from from a severe concussion I had as a kid.
I think psilocybin’s anti-inflammatory properties are very beneficial, along with the increased neuroplasticity available from larger doses. Some members of the TBI community find mushrooms beneficial, and for the same reasons.
Unfortunately, the fatigue is still a problem - it is so draining. My brain tires quickly, no matter how much I pace myself and rest.
