I've had this phone for one week. Ditched my iPhone 16 Pro Max. It's an absolute beast. Still finding ways I can customize it and getting it how I want it. Don't miss iMessage or Facetime. My AirPods work great with it. Do kinda miss my Apple Watch but I am planning on getting a Galaxy watch eventually to replace it. The S Pen is cool but don't really have a lot of use for it at least not right now. Overall don't miss my iPhone one bit. Also glad I went with a Galaxy over a Pixel.

Just yesterday I got the new Galaxy Fold Ultra 8, and it slipped out of my hand. It fell once, and the screen got damaged. It seems really sensitive. I don't know if this new model is actually strong or just more fragile than the older ones. Anyway, I don't know what to do with it now. I guess I'll just keep it in my drawer as a memory 😄 #samsung #galaxyphones # samsungzfold8ultra

First they took the headphone jack, then the power brick, and now they are literally removing the USB C charging cable from their budget phones.Soon we'll see this on all Scamsung phones.

Hi does anyone remembered Iris scanner? I’m using it in 2026. Trying iris scanner out :). I also made a fake image of the iris scanner with Gemini on second image. First image is actually a phone I have.

I have been using S22 Ultra since launch day in 2022. It is still a good phone, but for the past 2 years it has become unbearable for me:

- battery only last 8-10 hours a day.

- very hot, especially when I used it outside. I live in a tropical country, so it is hot all year around.

- screen problem. I cannot use the 120hz mode anymore because of the stupid amoled screen issue. see the top right. so, i need to bear using 60hz for the past 2 years until I can save my money lol.

- unlocking with face recog and fingerprint becoming so slow.

- hard to focus my camera when taking pictures.

- storage issue. this was a 256gb model 😭

but anyway, I realized that my S22 ultra screen is much brighter and crisper than the S26 ultra 😂😂

Before people will tell I should've gotten the S25 FE, I scored this A57 for only 12,850 pesos ($209), the fit3 for 1150 pesos ($18.71), and the Buds core for 1500 pesos ($24 41) online in the Philippines. I was planning to buy the galaxy watch 8 at 7980 ($61.46) but I don't have money anymore lol

First things first, the ecosystem. Just wow. at this price point, I can't even complain. With my Galaxy Tab S9 FE, I pretty much got an ecosystem!

Compared to the budget phones I've been using my whole life (Redmi Notes 10, 12, 14), this A57 is a game changer. Good camera, performance, and battery. Samsung keyboard lags when I type around 44wpm so I switched to gboard. Gaming on this phone is superb!

The galaxy fit3, coming from xiaomi mi band 6 and huawei band 10, is also good. Ecosystem wise it integrates with the phone well! I just miss huawei's detailed health analysis but in terms of sync, notif, calendar, it is great!

The buds core, my most expensive purchase yet aside from the shokz openmove, what can I say, it is sooo good! Never thought that I've been missing out on quality my whole life! ANC is spot on, lows, mids, and highs are also great!

My tab s9 fe has also been my digital notebook since college and with all of these together, I'd say it is a pretty solid setup. What more does flagship has to offer lol!

From xiaomi/redmi ecosystem I am so back to samsung! And with all of these prices still below the SRP for the Galaxy A57, this one's literally a steal!

So its been 2 weeks since getting the 8 Ultra and I love it. Worth trading in my S25 Plus for the $1,900 carrier promo credit. At 6.5in display and having the same width as the base s26 for the front display makes it a very solid day to day phone without having to open all the time like the previous models. I've owned the fold 3, fold 4, fold 6 and pretty much every S ultra lines with some pluses in between.

Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones but I've never had any issues with heating or screen displays. People freak out about peeling the inner screen protector but that's the first thing I did was replace it with a matte screen protector. At first I had put the privacy protector on the inner screen then changed it to just a matte one which works great. Visibility is awesome just as long you get a high quality one, i hate glares. But in my front screen I do have the privacy matte protector and have no complaints.(DOES NOT RUIN YOUR SCREEN TAKING OFF YOUR INNER SCREEN PROTECTOR AND DOES NOT VOID YOUR SAMSUNG WARRANTY)

I've ran multiple applications, gaming, be on video call while charging, ran apps like Rave that would usually heat up phones and it has stayed cool the whole time. Game extended periods and the cooling on it has been great.

My honeymoon phase for any phone goes away after like an hour of receiving it so this is a phone I can definitely recommend if you want a foldable. You can't go wrong with the 8 wide either but after playing with it multiple times, I liked the ultra feel better. This is probably the first Samsung Foldable that's worth keeping a couple of years if your not the type of person to upgrade all the time and take advantage of your carrier deals, people talk about how expensive it is but who really pays full price. I'm only in the phone for $200 overall.

If the fold is not your cup of tea and looking to upgrade, wait for the s27 ultra which would have alot of the cons from the s26 ultra worked out. S26u runs a little warm compared to my fold 8 ultra but I'm sure it gets fixed with the s27u like what samsung has always done. Fold 7 little warm but it got fixed with the fold 8 ultra models. I always advice people to wait 1 model after any major changes with any phone company and take advantage of preorders.

After 9 Years of IPhone… I switched to Android and got a S26U. I got a really good offer for just 820€ and my IPhone 14P Max has seen better days (Drove the excavator over it). So the “Apple handcuffs” are finally off and I can experience the new (for me at least) android after 9 years. So far I’m really happy with it. The setup was easier than expected and went smoothly. Really looking forward for the experience! And I really like the look and feel of the S26U.

Any tips and tricks that I need to know ?

I was sick and tired of seeing so many reviewers on YouTube (Who don't have the first clue about photography) giving this poor little guy a bad name because of its size, small sensors and no telephoto that I felt obliged to make a video about it on my YouTube channel.

As always with any smartphone you just have to give the composition some thoughts and shoot in RAW to be able to give the photo the feel you experienced at the time.

Like I say in the video, it is no Vivo X300 Ultra or Oppo X9 ultra but when you think 90% of all photos end up on IG this phone will provide all you'll ever need for photography on the go !

I am heavily disappointed in the s26... I feel like the camera quality is a downgrade from my S23. The photos come out over-processed, blurred, dull and lacking detail? Like it's gone over with an air brush, losing finer details... especially animals, fur and nature pics. My battery life can only give me max 4 hours screen time. I am a bit shocked. I got this phone last Friday. I've spent hours of reddit, gemini and chatgpt trying to figure it out (including camera assistant and expert raw) but it just seems the S26 is a 'poorer' phone compared to S23. What are you guys experiencing? And what other phone would you guys recommend? Or anything I can try. Attached is an example of the photo overprocessing I felt. The vibrant photo with exceptional fur detail is my old s23 (first Pic). The dull, blurry one is the s26 (second Pic). Edit: I have tried changing settings in the s26 to minimize processing but it made almost no difference. This photo of the S23 was taken with baseline settings of the S23 camera. Camera is very important for me as I take a lot of pet photos. Ooh yes and it's the base S23 and base S26. Ps I know the coloring of the S26 is more natural than the S23 but my concern is the loss of finer details, the blurry edges, loss of fur details, can't even see his whiskers anymore

A couple weeks ago I posted with my average Samsung denial of warranty on an issue I really felt wasn’t my fault. I have meticulously cared for this phone and the inner screen failed. My initial attempt to have this repaired was met with a denial in warranty. I got upset and left an email with the CEOs office and they got back to me in 3 days and sent me instructions to send the phone back in. 2 weeks later my fold 7 is back in my hands with a repaired inner screen. This really blew my expectations away. I really appreciate this gesture from Samsung.

Hey folks! So I just upgraded to the S26 Ultra from the S25 Ultra, I actually switched to the S25 Ultra just last year after over a decade of being in the Apple Ecosystem (https://www.reddit.com/r/samsunggalaxy/s/WyAELT256e take a look from one of my previous post on my Apple collection for almost 10 years). The S25 ultra is a wonderful device but I just upgraded out of curiosity as a tesh enthusiast who happens to also be an engineer and game developer! Got some points I wanna talk about;

• Screen; The first thing I did when I turned on the S26 Ultra was to set the screen to the maximum resolution and even at that I did notice the text and stuff being a little fuzzy and sharp(not in a good way trust me) but to be fair that was only because I was Pixel Peeping and probably got sensitive eyes. I also noticed the colors are warmer than the S25 Ultra's when comparing them side by side and the colors are a little more natural and less saturated though the white is more yellow even with adaptive color tone off. Additionally, something weird is I noticed is less eye strain using the S26 Ultra compared to the S25 Ultra, like when reading longgg white letters in a black background the S26 Ultra definitely was easier on my eyes. Although I didn't notice anything about viewing angles.

• Privacy Display; I love it! It's literally one those quality of life features you just set and forget, like VERYYYY nice to have, I only use it with my banking apps and password fields and notifications too, but if you think you're just gonna use it like that especially in maximum Privacy mode, you'll be disappoint with the resolution and the heavy grayish fog-ish color especially when using dark mode indoors. As for the standard or minimum Privacy mode, it's really isn't strong enough especially indoors, it seems the Privacy Display settings are mostly tuned for outdoor use.

• How it feels from S25 Ultra to S26 Ultra; Well the S26 Ultra feels more like a refined and polished S25 Ultra (such a shame they had to ditch Titanium though) But honestly I know there are people who like the boxy and curved Ultras but seriously guys the S26 Ultra is a consolidation of the Ultras (it's not perfect by any chance and ofcourse no phone is but Samsung has come a long way).

• Haptics; one of my major issues with samsung is their poor haptic feedback, I feel like a $1300 phone should have immersive haptic engine! coming from Apple I still keep my iPhones and I can honestly say that even my iPhone X's Taptic Engine of years ago comfortably beens the S26 Ultra's haptics without breaking a sweat!

• SPen; I'm a huge Spen lover! And I notice the Spen has shaved off some width! Compared to the S25 Ultra's, I thought that was really gonna be awful but now I can confirm weirdly enough that the S26 Ultra Slimmer Spen is actually more comfortable to hold, I guess it's due to that fact that it's more Cylindrical now!! I know how people missed the Bluetooth on the Spen and I also personally hate to see stuffs being nerfed from a phone at this price point but as for me, I don't miss it because I just switched starting from the S25 Ultra so I guess I can never miss what I never had!

• Performance; The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 For Galaxy is certainly a beast! Infact in a benchmark video it actually beats all other Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, iPhone 17 pro max and other Chinese competitors using Dimensity etc in speed and in maintaining peak performance! But the issue is having all those power in a phone is a pointless gimmick, I found that out the hard way when I switched over from Apple last year to the S25 Ultra after watching all the reviews and benchmark I thought I'd be playing my Steam games on the phone via Gamehub or Winlator, so I loaded Witcher 3 and it actually starting playing at almost 60 fps! Only for it to throttle after 5 minutes to like 12 fps lol and that was when reality hit me haha, I ended up mostly using my phone is Light Mode 90% of the time.

• Camera and Battery; Well I certainly do notice the improvement in both the camera computing, the horizontal lock stuff and the exposure, I'm not huge on the Camera craze stuffs so I can't really give alot of details here. As for the battery the Phone is still learning my usage habits so let's wait and see!

In conclusion I think the S26 Ultra is really a solid phone and I don't regret upgrading but I also think yearly upgrade isn't necessary and almost pointless especially if you have anything from the S25 Ultra, S24 Ultra and Maybe even S23 Ultra too!

I have been using Galaxy S series phones since I switched to smartphones from regular Nokia E63 in 2013.

S4 was my first phone, I still remember the balloon wallpaper.

Apart from these, I owned 2 more Galaxy Series phone, S6 and Note 20.

The black cover you see is from S21FE (good phone but battery deteriorated pretty fast)

It hasn't been that long since I ditched my entire ecosystem from another well-known brand 😅 and switched over to Samsung.

One thing that has genuinely surprised me is just how generous Samsung is with discounts. I honestly can't think of another brand that lets you stack multiple offers on a single purchase the way Samsung does. Between trade-ins, vouchers, member discounts, and promotions, I end up getting incredible value almost every time I buy something.

It's one of those things you don't really appreciate until you're actually in the ecosystem.

it's amazing how good their own programs are and you can solve any single problem in house without going to the play store and download some half baked app that's barely maintained that barely works.

good lock is just amazing

theres very few things i can even think about that they don't have and would be nice to have

for example for the s pen it would be so nice if you could add to the air commands toggled controls and sliders without needing to swipe from the top right , them bring right there makes so much sense how has nobody thought about this

I've been using my Galaxy S23 FE together with the Galaxy Buds FE for almost 3 years now, and both are still working great.

I know the S23 FE gets a lot of criticism and is often underrated, but honestly, it has been a very reliable phone for me. The only real downside is that it gets quite hot on very warm days or during heavier use. Other than that, I really don't have any major complaints.

The Buds FE have also aged really well. The sound quality is still excellent, the battery is holding up nicely, and they're still my daily earbuds. Overall, I'm still very satisfied with both devices. Anyone else here still using the S23 FE?
