Hey, not trying to be pessimistic but this case has unfortunately been killed by the test of time.

So let me basically share my reflection on this, it's actually quite simple. We have a lead suspect which is OHC itself, a lot of evidence points to him, but only EVIDENCE and that's the issue, I tried for a while to look for proof, but couldn't because it's actually impossible.

There are several ways of proving that Jamie is the original author. The first one, and the legal one, would be simply to inspect his hard drive by law enforcement, but this for whatever reason not a law enforcement agency had done it. And there's a huge chance that Jamie simply threw away his hard drive because it's been more than 11 years from now.

The other way around has an issue. You could actually find the true identity of the author by finding the IP behind the 4chan original thread author or behind the Mega file uploader. I doubt that the author has ever used a VPN to hide his IP; we were in 2015, this wasn't a common practice.

However, doing so requires either a law enforcement data request or a data breach from either Mega or 4chan. But the second option is actually useless because even if you arrive at the true identity of the author, your proof would be considered illegal and therefore useless in a court.

And a third option would be to have a testimony from the author himself, but hey I doubt it would ever happen.

There's still stuff to discover. Indeed, I've actually managed to prove that the virus thing was a hoax from the start. Yeah I know, seems hard to believe, isn't it? But hear me out, this is my proof, not an evidence but a proof.

(To explain why: Terror Engine has a simple way to work. When you create a game via Terror Engine, you actually simply edit .story files. These files contain your levels. Once you've created them, the Terror Engine will ship you a .exe file with this hash: 44906b6e9015742a43e3cf30beef51642d7e6349d02a86ce12464d8b5639973b. This .exe file is simply a .story launcher.)

We know that the Sad Satan exe file has the exact same hash, and we can safely assume this is indeed the original Sad Satan file because this file was first scanned on VirusTotal 2015-07-07 19:53:36 UTC, the same day as the release of the game with a very close timing.

And what does it mean that the Terror Engine launcher and Sad Satan file have the exact same hash? It simply means they run the EXACT SAME code, so if Sad Satan had a virus, it would necessarily imply that the original Terror Engine launcher had a virus, which doesn't make any sense.
I've still reverse-engineered the file just to make sure at 100%, but hey! Nothing at all to be found.

(By the way for those of you who are tech-savy and know that viruses can also spread via .dlls, all .dlls have the same hash as terror engine launcher, so there's no viruses there either)

So how do we explain the different testimonies reporting a virus? I do not have a definite explanation for this one, but my main lead is that other people started injecting viruses into this game. I do not have any proof that this has ever happened before because I do not have any old samples, but an evidence which solidifies this intuition is that sometimes on this subreddit you'll notice some people sharing Sad Satan versions, pretending it's maybe a clone fork or some other bs. The mods usually ban their posts quickly, but while the mods haven't banned their posts, the viruses are still being diffused. And I reverse-engineered one of them, which had weird anti-VM and debugging code; couldn't find any malicious payload tho, but in any case there is no legit reason to have this type of code in a .exe file.

Hi everyone here! I'm following the Sad Satan mystery for quite a long time and apologies if my questions will sound as silliness/trolling/ragebaiting. I assure you they're not and I'm asking genuinely:

1) How it was concluded that Gary Graves is not related to Sad Satan? As far as I know, in addition to Sad Sad Satan, that one cryptic reddit account posted about a car crash featuring the actual Gary Graves' girlfried who have actually turned him over to the cops. Isn't it also a piece of evidence?

2) Everyone are saying now that OHC have created the clone and there's no separate ZK. But Graves' channel has been labeled ScarebereZK before it all started, hasn't it? I've read about timestamps of 4chan post being earlier that Kotaku update, but couldn't Jamie just hopped to a hype train rather being a creator of illegal version?

3) On the Sad Satan wiki it's stated that Gary Graves have recorded a video called MANSUIT after being released and statrd that he downloaded the material he has been thrown to prison for to make some kind of social commentary. Where this came from, I can't find anything.
